Becky Lynch won’t be able to compete at Survivor Series in a champion vs champion match that had arguably the best build on the entire card. But during the melee when SmackDown invaded Raw this week, Lynch suffered a broken nose and severe concussion thanks to a misplaced punch from Nia Jax.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter stated that since Lynch was able to cut a promo in the ring the next night on SmackDown Lve without having any trouble, her concussion might not be bad. But it was obviously enough to get her taken out of the match.
It was noted that taking the SmackDown Women’s Title off of Becky Lynch will depend a lot of circumstances. But logic would dictate that if WWE’s direction for WrestleMania next year is Lynch vs Ronda Rousey, then someone will need to drop their title before then.
The most logical way to book Lynch vs Rousey for Mania would be to have one of them win the Royal Rumble match and then go on to challenge the one with a title. Therefore, it’s likely that we could be expected to see some kind of title change take place on the Women’s Roster before January.
