WWE has been figuring out what to do with 205 Live ever since people figured out that fans don’t stick around to see the Cruiserweights after SmackDown Live. The live audience wasn’t the only issue and now with WWE Mixed Match Challenge coming back we exclusively reported plans could be in place to keep the program as a long-term deal from this point on.
205 Live is moving to Wednesdays due to the WWE Mixed Match Challenge’s second season and now it appears that we will have even more to look forward to on Wednesdays as well.
Adam Pearce tweeted out congratulations to the 205 Live show as they prepare for their new night. He also made a point of saying that this will be the show’s home “going forward.”
Therefore, it appears 205 Live will be the lead-in for NXT on the WWE Network for the foreseeable future. Of course, they can always change things around because it’s their network and with the Fox Sports deal coming up anything can change. But it looks like if catching the Cruiserweights is part of your weekly pro wrestling watching schedule, you might need to keep Wednesdays free.
BIG news for fans of @WWE205Live. Join us as part of a 3-hour block of ACTION on Weds nights starting this week and going forward on @WWENetwork! #205Live https://t.co/21Ic9kEjUV
