Details Revealed on How Much Fox Is Paying for SmackDown

The Hollywood Reporter reports that FOX’s new deal with SmackDown will begin in October of next year and will be paying a three-fold increase over what NBCUniversal is paying. The new 5-year deal is reportedly over $1 billion, which sums up to around $205 million yearly.

In addition to SmackDown moving to Fox, there are also reports that it will be featured on Friday nights instead of Tuesday nights. As of this writing, it remains to be seen if they tape the show or WWE broadcasts live on Fridays.
