As reported earlier today, Brock Lesnar was scheduled to appear at Monday’s RAW in Anaheim, California to have a faceoff with Roman Reigns but the segment never happened because Lesnar never showed up to RAW. Lesnar was scripted in the first and second scripts for the show and his absence was acknowledged by Reigns during an in-ring segment.

Dave Meltzer reported on F4WOnline that the reason WWE booked the shoot style promo that Roman delivered on Monday’s RAW was a way to help him get cheered as he heads into his WrestleMania 34 match against Lesnar. The belief is that someone came up with the idea and WWE had enough time to tell Lesnar and Heyman to not come to Anaheim. Apparently WWE is attempting to make the build to Reigns vs. Lesnar as much like a shoot as possible, even though the promo was scripted.

For those who missed the promo, Reigns called out Lesnar for not being at the show and for hiding behind his contract. Reigns mentioned how everyone resents Lesnar’s status of working when he wants while they all work a full-time schedule. Reigns, who was booed earlier in the show, was cheered by the end of his promo.
