Viktor Comments On His WWE Release

The Ascension were released from their WWE contracts today. The four releases that took place today don’t seem to be very sad about it. At least Viktor seems quite pleased with it.

Once thought of as a formidable tag team ready to take on the main roster, The Ascension slipped down the card very quickly after dragging the Road Warriors in their opening promo. This was followed by what seemed like an eternity of not being used for Konnor and Viktor.

They appeared on the Fashion Files from time to time where they got to show a bit of their personalities. This wasn’t enough and the Ascension haven’t been used since WrestleMania.

This makes the fact that Viktor tweeted out an animated gif of Mel Gibson as William Wallace screaming “FREEDOM” so poignant.
