We see a lot of different things in pro wrestling and as the indies are getting bigger, they’ve found that binding together is the best way to go against WWE and their huge influence. But WWE isn’t too fond of partnering up with other companies unless they own their video libraries.
Brian Cage, who is currently the Impact Wrestling X Division Champion recently spoke to The Mirror where he revealed that although it might be hard to pull off, his dream match is still against AJ Styles

“My all-time dream match has always been AJ Styles. That might be a little hard to come to fruition right now though. Chris Sabin and the Amazing Red are the more desirable ones. Chris Sabin holds the record for most reigns as X Division Champion, I feel like that match may be a possibility.”

Only time will tell if this match will ever happen, but it would be much more likely if the two wrestlers were working for the same company. But as Brian Cage’s career continues to progress and his moveset continues to astonish people for having the ability to pull off feats in the ring that a man his size shouldn’t be able to pull off, who knows if he could eventually pique WWE’s interest?

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
