WWE has announced a few matches for the Evolution pay-per-view but it also promises to be a historic event and you know how much people love to be there for those. Therefore, WWE isn’t too worried about selling out the event, after all, it’s not a SmackDown Live show in Detroit.
Brad Shepard said on Barnburner Radio’s Fired Up that the numbers for the Evolution gate aren’t as bad as first thought. Perhaps the addition of Lita vs Mickie James might have sold a couple people on the show but the general thought it that they’ll be performing in front of a packed house.

“Currently it’s about 70% full right now as far as the arena as far as ticket sales. It’s expected to sell out probably within a month including comps and that sort of thing. But it’s about 70% full right now.”

Shepard didn’t say that “it’s not selling well,” but that is the general idea that they were trying to insinuate. The fact is that when the night of Evolution rolls around, odds are it will be a sold-out building regardless.
