During the mailbag segment of the latest installment of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer was asked about The Rock’s status for WrestleMania 34 and if he would be a part of the show this year.
Meltzer mentioned that he hasn’t heard anything new regarding The Rock’s status, so he doesn’t know if he will be at the show or not.
“As far as The Rock goes, I have not heard anything. That’s really all I can say. I don’t know.”
As previously reported, WWE was hoping to get The Rock to team with Ronda Rousey to face Triple H and Stephanie McMahon at this year’s WrestleMania event. The task would be difficult one due to insurance concerns with The Rock. Ever since The Rock suffered an injury back at WrestleMania 29, insurers have been nervous about The Rock appearing in a wrestling match before the production of a film. The Rock’s injury resulted in delays in the production to Hercules and pushed the film back.
