Dave Meltzer reported on the latest installment of Wrestling Observer Radio that the original plans for the NXT Championship would have seen Lars Sullivan challenge Andrade “Cien” Almas for the title at the upcoming NXT Takeover: New Orleans event.

Those plans have seemingly changed and they are no longer booking that match on NXT television. Meltzer explained that the company was pushing Sullivan pretty hard, however he hasn’t been seen from or heard from lately. An individual that regularly attends the WWE Performance Center mentioned that Lars hasn’t been showing up there either.

The company now is now booking Aleister Black vs. Almas instead. We will keep you updated if we receive any other details regarding Lar’s status with WWE.
