Zaria thinks WWE’s NXT women aren’t just killing it on television — she believes they’re flat-out working harder than the men behind the scenes too.

During her appearance on Busted Open After Dark, Bully Ray told the NXT Women’s North American Champion that he has considered the NXT women’s division the best women’s division in professional wrestling for close to two years. He asked Zaria why the division continues pumping out new stars, and she pointed straight to the work being done every day inside the WWE Performance Center. Zaria said anyone watching the men and women train side-by-side would see just how hard the women are being pushed.

“I think what we really do well is we do put in the work. I think others could maybe work a little bit harder and not be given all these opportunities, but we do put in the work. If you stepped into the Performance Center and you saw all the women training every single day, and then you looked at the men training every single day, I’m guaranteeing you right now we’re sweating bullets more than those boys ever could. We get pushed as far as we can to our limits.”

Zaria didn’t stop with the physical side of things. She also believes NXT’s women have another advantage because they aren’t afraid to dig into their emotions and use that to make fans care about what they’re doing in the ring.

“But also, I think we’re not afraid to tap into our emotions. So when it comes to feeling all of those emotions in a match, we allow the people to connect to us a little bit more than the guys because, you know, I understand being a guy, you can’t always tap into every single emotion that you can. But for us women, we’ll tap into that instantly, and I think that’s why people gravitate towards that.”

Bully Ray backed up part of Zaria’s argument from firsthand experience. He explained that he has spent roughly two years at the Performance Center while filming WWE LFG and said he has personally watched the NXT women consistently bust their asses in training.

Zaria clearly has a ton of confidence in NXT’s women’s division, and she isn’t interested in pretending the workload is equal just to avoid hurting anyone’s feelings. In her eyes, the women are pushing harder physically while also bringing an emotional element that helps them connect with WWE fans.

Do you agree with Zaria that the NXT women work harder than the men at the WWE Performance Center, or do you think she went too far with that claim? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
