WWE realizes that their viewership isn’t what it used to be. This is also a trend that they would like to break. At this point AEW is catching up on Vince McMahon’s company and they realize that.
According to a report from Wrestle Votes, the current situation with WWE’s ratings is a very hot topic of conversation backstage within the company. They didn’t go into any more specifics than that.
All I’ll say is that the numbers news is a HOT topic right now backstage.
We will have to see how this situation pans out. WWE will not likely face AEW competition on Mondays, because Tony Khan’s pre-existing relationship with the NFL would cause a big conflict of interest. That doesn’t make it any less of a popular discussion point.
