WWE WrestleMania 41 Kickoff Press Show Results (4/18/25): Live Match Updates and Highlights

The show opens up with Michael Cole welcoming us followed by a shot of the city of Las Vegas and the site of WrestleMania 41 as well as the site of tonight’s SmackDown. We then see the arrivals of “Main Event” Jey Uso, World Heavyweight Champion “The Ring General” GUNTHER, Women’s World Champion IYO SKY, Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley and WWE Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker.

We then get a video package of WrestleMania 41.

Cole then welcomes us to the kickoff show and he introduces Pat McAfee and says to get ready of the greatest 3 days. Cole then asks the fans if they are ready of SmackDown, NXT Stand & Deliver, the Hall of Fame and WrestleMania 41 and the fans chant. McAfee then talks about how the stage has been set for WrestleMania 41 and how high the stage is. Cole then talks about WrestleMania being the stage for the Sin City Street Fight and he introduces Drew McIntyre and McIntyre makes his way out. The fans then sing McIntyre. McIntyre then says the people see the truth and they now get it. McAfee then asks why the fans suddenly loves McIntyre and the fans start chanting McIntyre again. McIntyre then asks the fans if they saw his PSA and he thanks them for listening to him. McIntyre then says the fans don’t listen to Damian Priest and talks about how a fan ran to see The Undertaker.

McIntyre then points out a fan in the front row wearing a Michael Cole shirt. Cole then asks McIntyre about last year’s WrestleMania and how Priest cashed-in on him and if he will finally get revenge on Priest. McIntyre then talks about the heel turn of John Cena and how he saw it a mile away and how nobody listened to him. McIntyre then talks about how Priest needs him and Priest suddenly shows up and gets in a brawl with McIntyre. Producers then make their way out and stop McIntyre and Priest. Cole then says we will see them face each other in a Sin City Street Fight and talks about the Hall of Fame ceremony.

Cole then introduces Bron Breakker and Breakker makes his way out. Cole then tells Breakker that he will make his WrestleMania debut and how it makes him feels for his family lineage. Breakker then says it is really cool as his dad and uncle wrestled at WrestleMania. Cole then talks about how Breakker will make history defending his title in a Fatal 4-Way Match and Cole asks Breakker about his opponents like Penta. Breakker then says there is no amount of no fear that will save Penta from him. Cole then mentions Finn Bálor and Breakker then talks about the first-ever Universal Champion. Breakker then says he will hit a super spear on Bálor. Cole then asks about Dominik Mysterio and Breakker says Mysterio should just run away. McAfee then talks about the odds in a Fatal 4-Way Match and Breakker talks about the Steiner Match and how he has a 50% chance of winning right out of the gate. Breakker also talks about how he has 129.2% chance of winning total with all of the participants considered.

The New Day then make their way out to a string of boos from the fans and they chant New Day sucks. Xavier Woods then says thank God for The New Day and Kofi Kingston says he doesn’t care about how they are not invited. Xavier Woods then says they are future WWE Hall of Famers and how they should be inducted into this year’s Hall of Fame and wonders how many tag title reigns The Natural Disasters, Ric Flair and John Cena has had. Kofi Kingston then says when they defeat the War Raiders at WrestleMania they will be a 13-time champion. Xavier Woods then says when they win at WrestleMania the fans will have no choice but to say thank God for the New Day. Kingston and Woods then repeat thank God for the New Day for several times, but their mic keeps on being cut off and the fans chant shut the f*** up to them.

Cole then talks about how kicking off WrestleMania Sunday will be the Triple Threat Match for the Women’s World Title and we get a video package looking at how the Triple Threat Match came about. Cole then introduces Rhea Ripley and Ripley makes her way out. The crowd then chants Mami. Cole then talks about how Ripley was part of the Pat McAfee show and how she was part of WrestleMania since 2020. Cole then asks Ripley how important it is to be kickoff of WrestleMania Sunday and Ripley says it is extremely important and how it will be an absolute banger to face both Belair and SKY. Ripley then says she will be the new Women’s World Champion and Cole asks if the Triple Threat stipulation will help her win the title and Ripley says it will. McAfee then asks Ripley if she will have a different mindset going into WrestleMania as the challenger and Ripley says she will have a different mindset and she will be coming for blood. Cole then introduces Bianca Belair and Belair makes her way out. Cole then says Belair has made history in her past WrestleMania and how she feels about being an underdog in the Triple Threat Match. Belair then says she is happy that the match is now a Triple Threat and talks about how Ripley is just using her as a scapegoat because she can’t beat IYO SKY. Belair then says she will walk out of WrestleMania as the Women’s World Champion.

Cole then introduces IYO SKY and SKY makes her way out. Cole then asks SKY about being an after thought. SKY then says she will prove who she is and that is the Women’s World Champion. Cole then asks McAfee who will win in the Triple Threat and McAfee says the WWE Universe will win. McAfee then says this is the greatest sport on Planet Earth and how they will get more fans after WrestleMania.

Cole then talks about how the World Heavyweight Title Match will kickoff WrestleMania Saturday and if Jey Uso will have a chance. Cole then introduces GUNTHER and GUNTHER makes his way out. Cole then talks about how GUNTHER’s demeanor may have changed from Jey Uso and GUNTHER says nothing has changed. GUNTHER then says Jey Uso changed from what he did to Jimmy Uso and not him. GUNTHER then says he is not scared of Jey Uso. Jey Uso then makes his way out through the fans, while Cole introduces him. Jey Uso and GUNTHER then have a face-to-face and Jey Uso says he has been waiting all week for tomorrow night, but they don’t have to wait and they can start it all right now. GUNTHER then leaves and Jey Uso asks Las Vegas if they are ready for WrestleMania and for a new World Heavyweight Champion. The crowd then cheers and Jey Uso says Yeet. Michael Cole then reminds the fans about all the events talking place tonight and this weekend, while Jey Uso makes his exit through the crowd and the show comes to a close.
