WWE may have left Blake Monroe vs. Giulia off its current SmackDown preview page, but the company is still advertising the match on social media.

WWE UK & Ireland posted Friday that Monroe will face Giulia on the August 21 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, making it clear that the match is still being promoted by at least one official WWE account. The post specifically noted that SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis had confirmed the match and promoted it as Monroe’s first-ever match on the blue brand.

“It’s OFFICIAL! As confirmed by Nick Aldis, The Glamour, Blake Monroe, will face Giulia tonight in her FIRST EVER SmackDown match!”

That is notable because WWE’s main preview page for tonight’s show is not currently listing Monroe vs. Giulia.

The match had been advertised online Thursday, but it disappeared from the main SmackDown preview along with Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga vs. Damian Priest and R-Truth for the WWE Tag Team Championships. Despite that, WWE is still pushing Monroe vs. Giulia through its own social media channels just hours before SmackDown.

That makes the situation less clear than simply saying the match was pulled. WWE’s website may not have it listed on the main card preview, but the company is still actively telling fans through official social media that Monroe and Giulia will wrestle tonight.

Do you think Blake Monroe vs. Giulia is still happening on SmackDown tonight, or is WWE’s social media team working with outdated information? Let us know what you think and leave your feedback in the comments.
