WWE SmackDown Results (11/7/25): Live Match Updates and Highlights

The show opens up with a video package recapping this past weekend’s WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. Commentary then welcomes us to the show as Cody Rhodes’ music hits and he makes his way down to the ring.

Cody then plays to the crowd and grabs a mic. Cody then starts off by asking the fans what do they want to talk about. Cody then says they can talk about Saturday Night’s Main Event and Drew McIntyre. Cody then says Drew introduced the title belt into the match. Cody then says he introduced a weapon into the match. Cody then returns to talk about Drew after the crowd chants his name. Cody then says for someone who is supposed to know every detail about what makes Drew tick, Drew does not realize that his decision to pull the trigger has cost him. Cody then says Drew had no reluctance to pull the trigger. Cody then says he is one of the biggest and strongest. Cody then says he is also one of the most self-sabotaging wrestler in the history of the business. Cody then says he is moving on. Cody then says Drew you are in the rear view mirror.

Cody then says the business of SmackDown and the WWE Championship is the future. Cody then says he wants to do something different. Cody then says he wants to come out and sit with you guys and watch SmackDown so we can all decide who is next in line for the title. The lights then go out and Aleister Black’s music hits. Black then comes out with Zelina Vega. Black says if Cody is moving out then he is stepping in. Black then says since setting Damian Priest on fire, he is going to do something new. Black then says he has a chip on his shoulder. Black then says since it is about the size of the WWE Title belt. Cody then removes his tie and unbuttons his collar and he turns around into Zelina. Zelina then says too bad your nightmare begins now. Zelina then slaps Cody. Nick Aldis then makes his way out and he asks the fans if they want what he thinks they want. Nick then says Aleister Black can face Cody Rhodes in the main event. Black’s music then hits and they leave the ring.

We then see Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss outside of the arena. The camera then cuts to Jade Cargill walking outside the arena.

We then see Ilja Dragunov walking backstage and he is stopped by Tama Tonga. Ilja then looks at him and walks away towards the ring as his music hits. Ilja Dragunov then makes his way down to the ring for the first match of the night.

Ilja Dragunov is in the ring and he says for the legacy of the United States Open Challenge who will step up. He then says tonight pain shall entertain them. Tommaso Ciampa then makes his way out with Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae. Ciampa says he came out last week for his challenge, but Dragunov denied him and called him a jackass. He then says he is a two time SmackDown Tag Team Champion and no one calls him a jackass and now he is in South Carolina surrounded by jackasses to tell Dragunov that the title is his.

They then get in the ring and the fans chant “jackass”. Ilja then says Ciampa is right and he accepts the challenge, but he points to Gargano. Ciampa then backs away and he looks at Gargano. Ciampa then tells him to get him.

WWE United States Championship Open Challenge Match: “The Mad Dragon” Ilja Dragunov (c) vs. #DIY’s Johnny Gargano

The match starts off with Ciampa distracting Ilja from the floor and Johnny hits Ilja from behind. Johnny then punches Ilja, while Ciampa goes to the back. Johnny then sends Ilja into the turnbuckles. Ilja then blocks a thrust kick and he hits a German suplex. Ilja then holds on and he hits a second German suplex. Ilja then holds on, but Johnny blocks Ila and he goes for the leg. Ilja then hits some elbows and he hits a wrist clutch Karelin suplex. Ilja then goes to the turnbuckles and Candice LeRae gets on the apron and that allows Johnny to hit a thrust kick to the leg to knock Ilja off the turnbuckles. Johnny then kicks Ilja to the floor. Johnny then hits a forearm and he sends Ilja’s head into the apron.

Ilja then hits a forearm on Johnny on the apron and Johnny responds with some forearms and a kick. Johnny then hits a slingshot spear for a near fall. Johnny then hits a chop and Ilja misses a chop. Johnny then hits another chop and a snap mare followed by a drop kick to the back of the head for a near fall. Johnny then blocks a German suplex and hits some elbows and a boot to the head. Johnny then hits some punches and Ilja responds with some chops. Johnny then hits some shoulders in the corner. Johnny then cinches in an abdominal stretch. Ilja then escapes and hits some forearms. Johnny then hits a forearm and Ilja responds with an enzuigiri. Ilja then hits a head butt and some forearms. Ilja then hits a European uppercut and Johnny responds with a forearm. Both men then go back and forth with forearms and chops. Ilja then hits a jumping boot to the head and a Konstantin Special.

Ilja then hits a running knee into the corner and a running boot to the head. Ilja then goes to the turnbuckles and he hits a knee drop for a near fall. Johnny then kicks Ilja, but Ilja kicks Johnny. Ilja then goes up top and he is met with a thrust kick. Johnny then hits a thrust kick to the back of the head. Johnny then hits a poisonrana for a near fall. Johnny then hits some chops in the corner. Johnny then places Ilja on the turnbuckles and Ilja blocks Johnny. Ilja then chops Johnny. Ilja then pulls Johnny up for a head butt. Ilja then goes up top and he hits a back senton for a near fall. Ilja then sets up for an H Bomb, but Johnny gets his boots up. Ilja then hits a kick and a choke slam. Ilja then sets up for the Konstantin Special, but Candice hits Ilja in the ropes when Johnny distracted the referee. Johnny then hits a suicide dive into a tornado DDT on the floor followed by a slingshot DDT for a near fall. Johnny then pulls Ilja into position, but Ilja hits a kick and he sends Johnny into the turnbuckles. Ilja then goes for a superplex to bring Johnny back into the ring and he follows it up with the H Bomb for the win.

We then head to the back, where Nick Aldis is in his office talking to a referee and Sami Zayn shows up. Sami says he wants to be out there for Rey Fenix’s match because of what Solo and his guys will do. Nick then says Sami is not medically cleared. Nick then tells Sami to get healthy. Nick then says he is not asking Sami. Sami then says he will not stand by and watch for much longer. R-Truth then shows up and he wants to talk to Nick. Truth then asks if this is how they are picking his older brother’s final opponent. Truth then says he wants in. He then tells Nick he is putting his balls in Truth’s hand. Nick then tells Truth he is already in. Truth then says he doesn’t want his balls touching Nick’s balls.

We take see Jade Cargill winning the Women’s Championship this past Saturday night at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

We then head to the back, where we see Tommaso Ciampa sitting and Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae show up and they say that Ilja was tough. Nathan Frazer and Axiom then show up to talk about Ciampa being denied twice and his partner getting the match. They then call Ciampa a jackass.

WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill’s music then hits and she makes her way down to the ring. Jade starts off by saying you all saw what happened to Tiffany Stratton and that goes for every woman in the locker room. Jade then says make no mistakes about it. Jade then says she is that b***h. Jade then throws the microphone onto the mat and leaves the ring. While Jade poses on the stage, Charlotte Flair makes her way out for her match against Nia Jax and Charlotte is accompanied by Alexa Bliss. Jade then holds up her title belt and Charlotte and Alexa make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night. Charlotte then turns around, but Alexa holds her back.

We then head to the back, where Chelsea Green tells Alba Fyre that tonight is the night that she becomes the longest reigning champion. Michin then shows up and says that Giulia is already the longest reigning champion. Green then says she is already the greatest champion and she turns around into Jade and says she wants to hear from her. Jade then tells B-Fab to move and Jade is able to hear B-Fab talk about Jade’s attitude. Jade then says she can do what she wants and if B-Fab wants to, she can face her in the ring next week. B-Fab then accepts and Jade walks into the women’s locker room.

Nia Jax then makes her way down to the ring for the next match of the night.

Singles Match: WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion “The Queen” Charlotte Flair vs. “The Irresistible Force” Nia Jax

The match starts off with Flair going to the ropes and she his a shoulder tackle, but Nia Jax stays on her feet. Nia Jax then pushes Flair and Flair slaps her in the face. Flair then goes to the ropes and she hits some right hands, but Nia Jax responds with a headbutt. Nia Jax then goes for a splash in the corner, but Flair moves out of the way. Flair then hits some kicks to the face. She then runs towards Nia Jax, but Nia Jax picks her up and Flair hits a head scissor take down followed by a drop kick. Flair then grabs Nia Jax, but Nia Jax sends her into the turnbuckle. Flair then hits some chops to the chest. She then grabs Nia Jax, but Nia Jax sends her towards the corner and she hits a clothesline.

Nia then gets a near fall. Nia then sends Flair face first into the mat a few times. Nia then hits an Irish whip, but she misses a splash. Flair then gets a rollup for a near fall. Nia then hits a clothesline and she cinches in a Straitjacket choke. Flair then sends Nia to the floor to escape and she follows it up with a pescado. Nia then sends Flair into the ring post. Nia then sends Flair into the ringside barrier. Both women then return to the ring. Nia then pie faces Flair. Flair then hits some chops and Nia hits an Irish whip, but Flair does the Flair flip and hits a boot. Flair then goes up top and hits a cross body. Flair then hits some chops and a thrust kick. Flair then clips Nia and she goes for the walkover clothesline and hits it.

Flair then walks over Nia and goes to the turnbuckles for a moonsault and hits it for a near fall. Flair then goes for the figure four, but Nia hits a head butt. Nia then avoids a kick and hits a sit out power bomb for a near fall. Nia then pulls Flair into the corner for an aNIAlator, but Flair moves and Nia falls to the mat. Flair then gets a near fall. Nia then gets Flair on her shoulders and Flair goes to the apron and Nia climbs the turnbuckles. Flair then kicks Nia and Nia gets caught in the turnbuckles. Flair then hits a slingshot knee drop and she gets a near fall. Flair then goes for the figure four and Nia kicks Flair into the turnbuckles, but Flair stops short. Flair then hits a tornado DDT for a near fall. Lash Legend then punches Alexa from the crowd and she chokes Alexa. Nia then hits Flair from behind and follows it up with an aNIAlator for the win.

After the match, Lash Legend and Nia Jax hug.

We then get a video package looking at John Cena’s farewell tour and his last match.

We then see Nick Aldis drawing the next two matches for the Last Time Is Now tournament. The first match is The Miz against Jey Uso and the second match is LA Knight and Aldis opens up the ball with the name in it. Aldis then says he will keep that name to himself.

We then head to the back, where Cathy Kelley is with Nia Jax and Lash Legend. Cathy asks about how the pairing came about. Nia says she would have beaten Charlotte. Nia then says teaming with Lash was hard because they aren’t friends. Nia then says she found a friend and she faced Lash in NXT. Nia then says she is a formidable opponent. Nia then says Lash is her friend. Lash then says she is the Boujee Bully. Lash then says after what she did to Alexa you can best believe that tonight was just the start.

WWE Women’s United States Champion Giulia then makes her way down to the ring with Kiana James for the next match of the night and Chelsea Green follows with Alba Fyre. We then see Ethan Page in the front row to hold on to Chelsea’s title.

WWE Women’s United States Championship Match: “The Beautiful Madness” Giulia (c) vs. Chelsea Green

The match starts off with Chelsea hitting a slap to the face, but Giulia responds with a head lock take down. Both women are back to their feet and Giulia hits a headbutt followed by a suplex. Giulia then hits a running knee to the face. She then goes for the cover, but Chelsea kicks out. Fyre then gets on the ring apron to try and distract Giulia, but Giulia hits a right hand on Chelsea. She then sends Chelsea onto the ring apron and hits her with a right hand. Chelsea then falls back into the ring. Giulia then distracts the referee and Kiana James hits a right hand on Chelsea. Fyre then hits a super kick on Kiana. Giulia then hits a kick on Fyre. Chelsea then rolls Giulia up and Chelsea puts her feet on the ropes for leverage and she gets the win.

The winner and new WWE Women’s United States Champion, Chelsea Green!

After the match, Chelsea grabs her titles and jumps the barricade, celebrating with Alba Fyre and Ethan Page.

We then head to the back, where Solo Sikoa is with MFTs. He tells them how they have to win titles and that Talla Tonga will show Rey Fenix that he does not disrespect their family. They then walk in the backstage area and we see The Wyatt Sicks sneak up behind them.

We then see the medical staff checking on Alexa and Charlotte apologizes for what happened. Charlotte is then given a bag of ice from a mystery person and we see that it is Asuka, who pulls off her mask and spits mist in their faces and she dances away with Kairi Sane.

Rey Fenix then makes his way down to the ring for the next match of the night and the MFTs follow.

Singles Match: Rey Fenix vs. MFT’s Talla Tonga

The match starts off with Alex Shelley, Chris Sabin and Shinsuke Nakamura attacking the MFTs. Rey then hits a couple of suicide dives. He then goes for a third one and Talla catches him, but Rey sends Talla into the post. Talla then tosses Rey back into the ring. Rey then hits some kicks, but Talla blocks an Irish whip. Rey then hits another kick and he flips over Talla with a moonsault. Rey then hits some kicks to the leg. Rey then hits some chops and Talla tosses Rey into the air and sends him to the mat. Talla then hits a running boot to knock Rey off the apron. Talla then sends Rey to the ringside barrier. Rey then hits a chop. Talla then hits an Irish whip and a clothesline. Talla then hits a biel. Talla then chokes Rey in the ropes. Rey then hits a head butt and a forearm followed by a chop. Talla then hits a shoulder tackle.

Talla then gets some cross faces. Rey then stomps on the foot and he chops Talla several times. Talla then chops Rey. Talla then gets a cover for a near fall. Talla then hits some kicks. Solo then sits at ringside. Rey then hits punches that have no impact. Rey then hits punches and chops followed by a springboard move, but Talla knocks him aside with a shoulder tackle. Talla then punches Rey. Talla then wants Rey to hit him and Rey does. Talla then hits a clothesline. Talla then hits a forearm and some elbows in the corner. Talla then hits a kick in the corner. Talla then hits an Irish whip, but he misses a splash into the corner. Rey then hits a kick and Talla swats a super kick aside. Rey then swings in the ropes and he hits a thrust kick. Rey then hits a jumping spin kick in the corner.

Rey then goes for a monkey flip, but Talla holds on. Rey then goes for a sunset flip and Talla pulls him up. Talla then hits an uppercut. Talla then goes for a boot, but Rey moves and Talla gets his leg caught in the ropes. Rey then hits a kick and he drops Talla’s leg on the top rope. Rey then hits a kick and he goes to the apron for the running kick on the top rope. Rey then goes up top and he hits a cross body for a near fall. Rey then hits a super kick and he goes to the turnbuckles, but Talla catches Rey. Rey then goes for a rana, but Talla blocks it and hits a power bomb. Talla then hits a choke slam for the win.

After the match, Solo tells Talla to pick Rey up and Sami Zayn’s music hits and he makes his way down to the ring with a chair. Solo and Talla then leave the ring and the fans chant “Sami”. Solo and Talla then leave to the back.

It is then announced that next week Jade Cargill faces B-Fab, LA Knight faces a mystery opponent and Jey Uso faces The Miz.

We then head to the back, where Cathy Kelley is with The Miz and she brings up his match next week. Catch asks Miz about Carmelo Hayes. Miz then asks if you thought that was payback. Miz then says it was a reminder of what he is capable of. Miz then says everything he touches, he makes them important. Miz then says he made Carmelo Hayes relevant. Miz then says he beat John Cena in the main event of Wrestlemania so he should be an inevitable opponent for the last match. Miz then says now he has to face Jey Uso. Miz then says Jey is a highlight and highlights fade. Miz then says legacies last forever. Miz then says the critics will cry and the internet will whine. Miz then says he will end John Cena’s career because he is awesome.

Aleister Black and Zelina then make their way down to the ring for the main event of the night and Cody Rhodes follows.

Non-Title Match: Undisputed WWE Champion “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes vs. Aleister Black

The match starts off with both men locking up and Cody hitting a side head lock take down. Black then hits a head scissors. Black then cinches in a side head lock and Cody responds with a head scissors. Both men then hit arm drags. Black then goes for a suplex, but Cody blocks it and hits a delayed gourdbuster. Black then hits an Irish whip and Cody floats over, but Cody misses a power slam. Black then hits a kick as Cody comes off the ropes. Cody then rolls to the floor. Black then follows after Cody and Cody sends Black into the apron. Black then sends Cody into the announce desk. Both men then return to the ring and Black hits a back elbow. Black then gets a near fall.

Black then hits a kick to the back. Cody then backs Black into the corner and Cody hits some punches. Black then hits a kick and a European uppercut. Black then chokes Cody in the ropes and Zelina chokes Cody when Black talks to the referee. Black then hits a snap mare and he gets a near fall. Black then hits a leg drop for a near fall. Black then hits a kick and a snap mare into a reverse chin lock. Black then hits a knee and an Irish whip. Cody then floats over and hits the power slam for a near fall. Black then hits a double leg take down, but Cody kicks him away. Cody then gets a rollup for a near fall. Black then hits a kick for a near fall.

Black then hits some chops, punches and kicks. Black then hits a snap mare. Black then hits a reverse chin lock. Black then hits a forearm and Cody responds with a running forearm. Cody then floats over and hits a power slam. Cody then hits a Disaster Kick for a near fall. Cody then sets up for the Cross Rhodes, but Black hits a knee and another knee. Black then hits a kick to the leg and a kick to the chest for a near fall. Black then goes for a belly-to-back suplex, but Cody lands on his feet and he hits a Cody Cutter for a near fall. Cody then hits some jabs and the Bionic Elbow, but Black hits a round kick and a jumping knee. Black then hits a German suplex for a near fall. Black then runs into a knee to the back and Cody goes for Cross Rhodes, but Black hits a snap mare. Black then hits a kick and Cody responds with a kick. Black and Cody then hits kicks at the same time and both men are down. Drew then hits a Claymore to the referee and Drew yells at the referee. Cody then attacks Drew and Black hits Cody from behind. Drew then kicks Cody.

The Non-Title Match ends in a No Contest!

After the match, Damian Priest’s music hits and he makes his way down to the ring and he hits some punches on Black and Drew. Priest then punches Black and Drew punches Priest, but Priest hits a flatliner. Priest then sends Black to the mat and clotheslines him over the top rope and to the floor. Cody then hits a knee on Drew. Priest then punches Black on the announce desk. Zelina then goes after Priest, but Priest sends her into the time keeper’s area. Black then rakes Priest’s eyes. Cody then hits a Cody Cutter on Drew and Drew goes to the floor. Nick Aldis then makes his way out and he says Drew is suspended. Nick and Drew then argue as the show comes to a close.
