Rollins then asks if Punk came back because everyone chanted his name or if someone else wrote a big, fat check.
Rollins then notes how Punk burned that bridge and came back to WWE. Rollins then asks again if it was because the fans chanted Punk’s name. Rollins then says Reigns knows nothing about sacrifice, while he knows everything about sacrifice. Rollins then says the story between he, Reigns and Punk started 12 years ago and it started with Paul Heyman.
Rollins then says Heyman brought Reigns, himself and Dean Ambrose into WWE to be a Shield for CM Punk. Rollins then says every single night he sacrificed everything he had in the ring to be that shield. Rollins then says he didn’t get credit for that because everyone in the back wanted all the cameras on Reigns. Rollins then says everyone said Reigns would be the next cash cow for WWE and the next John Cena. Rollins then says Punk took his ball and went home and he heard some Punk chants, while he was making every show and sacrificing everything he had every night. Rollins then says it all came to a head last year at WrestleMania when his knee was shredded and his stepdad was dying of cancer. Rollins then says he still made it to WrestleMania last year to be a shield to make sure Roman Reigns lost. “Thank you Seth!” chants then break out and the crowd sing Rollins’ song. Rollins then says the story started 12 years ago and it will end tomorrow night in the most important triple threat match in the history of this industry.
