WWE may be staring at a major scheduling collision in 2027. The Royal Rumble is already set for Phoenix in February, but WWE still hasn’t announced the exact date — and one of the possible options would put the show on the same day as AEW Dynasty.
The two dates in play are February 6 and February 7, and that second option would create an immediate wrestling traffic jam. AEW Dynasty is scheduled for February 7 in Liverpool, meaning both companies could end up running major events on the same day.
That would be a big deal because the Royal Rumble has become one of WWE’s biggest global shows. In recent years, it has pulled massive worldwide interest and has been one of the company’s strongest premium live events.
The real question is timing. WWE would have no obvious reason to move the Royal Rumble into an unusually early time slot just to overlap with AEW, especially with the show taking place in Phoenix. At the same time, early start times have worked just fine for AEW before, so a same-day situation can’t be completely ruled out.
If WWE lands on February 7, fans could be looking at one of the busiest wrestling days of the year. Royal Rumble would be coming from Phoenix while AEW Dynasty runs from Liverpool, putting two major events on the calendar at once.
For now, WWE is keeping the date under wraps. Until that changes, February 7 remains a possibility — and AEW Dynasty could end up sharing the day with one of WWE’s biggest shows.
