Tonight’s WWE RAW airing January 5, 2026, promises an action-packed night live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The one-year anniversary on Netflix show sees WWE World Heavyweight Champion “The Best In The World” CM Punk defend his title against The Vision’s “The Unpredictable Badass” Bron Breakker. Plus, Alpha Academy’s WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Maxxine Dupri will defend her title against “The Man” Becky Lynch.

The show opens up with a “Stranger Things” filter appearing on the screen as we overlook the Barclays Center. We then head inside the arena as things begin to go awry. The screen then goes upside down and Michael Cole and Corey Graves come out of a radio van.
The Vision is then shown walking with a very focused Bron Breakker. World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk is also in the building. Finn Bálor, Liv Morgan, Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez are then shown arriving together. Bayley and Lyra Valkyria are then shown riding a bicycle with a cart. Becky Lynch then makes her arrival.
Michael Cole and Corey Graves then welcome us to the show and pyrotechnics go off as they head to ringside. Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY then make their way down to the ring for the first match of the night and The Kabuki Warriors follow.
The match starts off with IYO and Asuka and IYO hits some forearms. IYO then hits a cartwheel around Asuka followed by a leg sweep and a drop kick. IYO then sends Sane to the floor and Rhea hits a cannonball onto Asuka and Sane. Rhea then sends Asuka back into the ring and she tags IYO into the match. Sane then avoids Rhea and slaps her. Sane then has some words for Rhea. Sane then avoids Rhea in the corner. Sane is then sent to the apron and she hits a shoulder. Sane then goes over Rhea when Rhea moves and Sane taunts Rhea. Rhea then hits a clothesline. Rhea then sends Sane into the turnbuckles and IYO tags in. IYO then hits a shoulder and a swinging neck breaker. Rhea then tags in and Rhea sends IYO onto Sane. Rhea then gets a near fall.
Sane then hits a punch, but Rhea hits some punches and she gets a near fall. Rhea then hits a forearm to the lower back. Rhea then hits another forearm to the lower back. Rhea then goes for a third one, but Sane hits a forearm and Asuka is tagged in. Asuka then hits a pop up knee, but she misses a hip in the ropes. Rhea then cinches in a waist lock on the apron and they have standing switches. Rhea then knocks Asuka off the apron, but Sane pulls Asuka out of the way when Rhea goes for a cannonball. Asuka then sends Rhea into the ringside barrier. Asuka then sends Rhea back into the ring and Sane tags in. Sane then goes to the turnbuckles and she kicks Rhea. Sane then hits a head scissors in the ropes.
Sane then goes up top and she hits a forearm. Sane then gets a near fall. Asuka then tags in and Asuka and Sane hits a series of kicks followed by a bulldog and a drop kick for a near fall. Asuka then sends Rhea to the mat by the hair and she punches Rhea. Sane then tags in and Rhea hits a head butt on Asuka. Rhea then catches Sane off the turnbuckles and she hits a fallaway slam. IYO and Asuka then tag in and IYO hits a shotei and a sling blade. IYO then drops Sane’s arm on the top rope. IYO then goes up top and hits a double missile drop kick.
Asuka then sends IYO to the apron and IYO drops Asuka on the top rope. Sane then stops IYO from a springboard move and Asuka kicks IYO. Sane then tags in and goes up top and hits a double stomp to the back while IYO is in the ropes. Sane then gets a near fall. Sane then sends IYO into the turnbuckles and she kicks IYO and chokes her against the turnbuckles. Sane then gets another near fall. Asuka then tags in and she stretches IYO, but IYO gets a lateral press for a near fall. Sane then tags in and they hit IYO with a double hip toss and follow it up with a double elbow drop. Sane then gets a near fall. Sane then gets more near falls. Sane then swings at Rhea and that draws Rhea in and the referee stops her. Asuka and Sane then double team IYO. Sane then gets IYO up for an Alabama Slam. Sane then cinches in a Boston Crab and she leans back onto IYO’s back. IYO then hits a double stomp.
Rhea then tags in and she clotheslines Sane and avoids a back first. Rhea then hits a kick and she hits a second kick to the midsection when Sane goes for a springboard move. Rhea then hits a face plant and a drop kick. Rhea then kicks Asuka off the apron. Rhea then signals for a Razor’s Edge and she tags in IYO. Rhea then hits the Razor’s Edge and IYO goes up top and hits a missile drop kick for a near fall. Rhea then hits the Rip Tide on Sane and Asuka pushes Rhea into IYO to knock her off the turnbuckles. Asuka then hits a Codebreaker and Sane gets a near fall. Asuka then tags in and she hits a running boot to the head for a near fall. Asuka then hits a series of kicks and she blocks a kick and applies an ankle lock and hits a leg trapped German suplex.
Sane then tags in and Asuka hits a spinning heel kick. Asuka and Sane then hit forearms for a near fall. Sane then tags in. Sane then hits an elbow drop while Asuka holds Rhea and IYO breaks up the cover. IYO then hits a German suplex on Sane and IYO tags in. Asuka then gets an inside cradle for a near fall. Asuka then gets a back slide for a near fall. IYO then hits a kick and a running double knee strike against the ropes. Rhea then tags in and Rhea hits the Rip Tide and IYO hits a moonsault. IYO then hits a suicide dive on Sane and Rhea gets the win.

After the match, pyro shot off on the stage while the new champions celebrate.
We then get a video package for CM Punk and Bron Breakker.
We then head to the back, where Adam Pearce congratulates IYO and Rhea on their win. Pearce then stops GUNTHER and he says there are a ton of eyes on him. Pearce then says everyone has seen how GUNTHER has acted since he beat Cena. Pearce then says you can go out there and get it off your chest. Pearce then suggests that GUNTHER show some respect.
GUNTHER then makes his way down to the ring. GUNTHER then holds up a shirt featuring John Cena tapping out that reads, “Tap out like a b***h.” GUNTHER grabs a mic and starts off by saying he has been asked by management to show a little respect. GUNTHER then asks for some respect for him. GUNTHER then says respect for the man who made John Cena do the one thing he never said he would do. GUNTHER then says show respect to the man who made John Cena tap like a little.
AJ Styles’ music then interrupts and he makes his way down to the ring to disrespect GUNTHER. GUNTHER then says if AJ is one to talk about respect, you are punching above your weight. GUNTHER then says they know that he is the greatest wrestler in this company. GUNTHER then says that includes you. GUNTHER then says he is the man that made John Cena tap out like a little you know what. GUNTHER then chuckles heartily before saying like a little b***h. GUNTHER then says that leaves them with one question. GUNTHER then says what is little AJ going to do about it. GUNTHER then shows AJ that he cannot see him. AJ then slaps GUNTHER and they go face to face. AJ then tells GUNTHER that’s what he thought nothing. AJ then tosses his mic at GUNTHER and leaves the ring.
We then get a video package for Becky Lynch and Maxxine Dupri.
We then head to the back, where Ivy Nile tells Adam Pearce she isn’t going to the back of the line. Pearce then says we have to wait until the match is over before we know what is next. GUNTHER then shows up and says he wants AJ. AJ then shows up and he asks if GUNTHER is going to complain to the boss. AJ then says will you complain or be a b***h. GUNTHER then says he wants AJ next week and Pearce makes the match.
Becky Lynch then makes her way down to the ring for the next match off the night and Maxxine Dupri follows.
The match starts off with both women locking up and Becky goes for the DisArmHer, but Dupri gets to the ropes. Dupri then rolls through and goes for an ankle lock, but Becky gets to the ropes. Becky then cinches in a waist lock and Dupri gets a standing switch. We then get more standing switches until Becky backs Dupri into the corner. Becky then hits a back heel kick to the leg followed by a punch. Dupri then gets a Thesz Press and she hits some punches. Becky then goes to the floor and Dupri follows. Becky then blocks a kick and she tries to send Dupri into the apron, but Dupri hits a cartwheel. Dupri then hits a kick.
Both women then return to the ring and Becky goes back to the floor. Dupri then punches Becky and sends her into the ringside barrier and apron. Dupri then sends Becky into the ringside barrier once more. Becky then hits a kick, but Dupri sends her into the apron. Becky then hits a jaw breaker, but Dupri responds with a back elbow. Becky then pulls Dupri off the turnbuckles and to the mat. Becky then hits some punches. Becky then hits a forearm into the corner followed by an exploder. Becky then hits a baseball slide and she follows it up with a forearm off the apron. Becky then sends Dupri back into the ring and she goes to the turnbuckles. Becky then hits a leg drop for a near fall. Becky then cinches in a reverse chin lock.
Becky then sends Dupri to the apron and Becky stops Dupri on the turnbuckles. Becky then goes for the DisArmHer, but Dupri gets a rollup for a near fall. Dupri then hits a bicycle kick and both women are down. Becky and Dupri then exchange forearms and Dupri screams and hits a series of clotheslines. Dupri then hits a splash into the corner followed by a fisherman’s suplex. The straps then come down. Dupri then hits a jumping knee and a sit-out back breaker followed by a round kick for a near fall. Dupri then goes up top and she misses a cross body, but rolls through. Becky then blocks a spinning back heel kick and Dupri hits a body scissors take down into an ankle lock.
Becky then gets to the ropes to break the hold. Becky then sends Dupri into the ropes, but misses a double stomp off the turnbuckles. Dupri then gets a rollup for a near fall. Dupri then cinches in an ankle lock. Becky then rolls through and applies the DisArmHer. Dupri then escapes and returns to the ankle lock. Dupri then hits a shoulder from the apron and she goes to the turnbuckles, but Becky stops her. Becky then goes for a superplex and she hits it and rolls through into a DDT for a near fall.
Becky then goes for a uranage, but Dupri blocks it. Becky then hits some knees and Dupri escapes the uranage. Becky then avoids a boot and hits a belly-to-back suplex for a near fall. Becky then cinches in an ankle lock, but Dupri sends Becky into the turnbuckles. Dupri then hits a German suplex and she goes up top and hits a cross body for a near fall. Becky then goes to the apron and she drops Dupri on the top rope. Becky then goes up top and Dupri hits a punch. Dupri then goes up and they exchange strikes. Becky then goes under and sets up for a power bomb, but Dupri counters into an ankle lock. Becky then rolls through, but Dupri holds on. Becky then rolls through and holds the ropes for the win.

After the match, Becky celebrates her win as pyro shoots off the stage.
We then get an Oba Femi video package.
We then see WWE Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer walking gingerly in the back with a walking boot.
Adam Pearce is in the aisle and he says there have been some new faces on RAW and on SmackDown, but none more exciting than this man. We then get a video package for Je’Von Evans. Pearce then brings out Je’Von Evans. Pearce says Evans is one of the most exciting prospects in WWE. Pearce then says he wanted to bring Evans out in Brooklyn to offer him a RAW contract. Evans then signs the contract.
Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso then make their way out. Jey says the Usos are now in your city. Jimmy then says this is the first RAW of the new year with the new World Tag Team Champions. Jey then tells AJ Styles and Dragon Lee they appreciate the match last week. Jimmy then says that was last week and last year. Jey then says this is the year of the Usos. Jey then says this is the warning shot to all tag teams. Jimmy then says they are the best tag team in the game. Jimmy then says if anyone wants some, they will be waiting here.
Jackie Redmond is now in the ring and she brings out WWE Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer. Jackie brings up what Stephanie did in 2025 and she asks what is next. Stephanie says 2025 was amazing. Stephanie then says she won four titles, debuted on RAWW and was on Evolution. Stephanie then says she became WWE Women’s World Champion. Stephanie then takes the mic and she thanks everyone for believing in her. Stephanie then says last week she ended the best year of her career by retaining her title. Stephanie then says she will continue in 2026. She then points to her foot and says this won’t stop her. Stephanie then says she wants everyone. Stephanie then says she will prove that she is the greatest luchadora on the planet.
Raquel Rodriguez then attacks Stephanie Vaquer from behind and she punches Stephanie. Raquel then slams the injured foot into the mat. Raquel then hits a Tejana Bomb on Stephanie. Raquel then gets a chair and she brings it into the ring. Officials then come to the ring and Raquel stomps on the ankle. Raquel then puts the ankle in the chair and Adam Pearce pulls the chair away and throws it to the floor.
The officials then continue to check on Stephanie and Stephanie is helped to the back. We then see Stephanie still being helped in the back and Raquel attacks her again and sends her into storage cases. Raquel then stands on the ankle. Pearce then pulls Raquel off Stephanie and he says he will fine her until she has nothing. Pearce then tells Raquel to leave the building.
Michael Cole then brings up the situation between Rey Mysterio and the Vision and we look at what happened last week when Penta came to help Rey. We then see Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee in locker room and Rey says Lee will be a champion again. Lee then thanks Rey and says he has to talk to AJ. Penta then shows up and says he helped Rey because he didn’t like what the Vision has been doing. He then talks about Logan Paul and Austin Theory. Rey then says he has been dealing with them for weeks and he knew that Penta would have his back. He then says he knows about the honor and respect of lucha libre. Penta then tells Rey any time he needs him, he is there.
Lyra Valkyria and Bayley then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez follow.
The match starts off with both women locking up and Liv cinches in a side head lock and hits a shoulder tackle. Liv then blocks a hip toss and Lyra hits a clothesline. Liv then hits an Irish whip and Lyra floats over. Lyra then hits a leg sweep and a drop kick. Lyra then hits a Northern Lights suplex for a near fall. Lyra then hits an enzuigiri and Liv goes to the floor. Lyra then goes for a drop kick through the ropes, but misses. Liv then hits a kick to Lyra and she sends Lyra into the ring steps. Liv then kicks Lyra and sends her back into the ring. Liv then hits another kick to the midsection. Liv then sends Lyra shoulder first into the ring post. Liv then cinches in a Boston Crab in the turnbuckles. Liv then hits a face buster off the turnbuckles for a near fall.
Lyra then hits a back elbow and a kick. Lyra then goes for an O’Connor Roll, but Liv holds on to the ropes and hits a lungblower for a near fall. Liv then hits a suplex and she holds on for a second one. Liv then goes for a third suplex and hits it. Liv then hits an enzuigiri for a near fall. Liv then stretches Lyra. Lyra then stretches Liv and sends her to the mat. Both women then hits flying clotheslines and both women are down. Liv then hits a forearm and Lyra fires back. They then continue the exchange. Liv then hits a forearm against the ropes and Lyra does the same. Lyra then hits a back elbow and Liv goes for the ObLIVion, but Lyra moves.
Lyra then hits a German suplex and a tornado DDT. Lyra then hits a fisherman’s buster for a near fall. Lyra then gets Liv up for Night Wing, but Liv hits some elbows to escape. Liv then gets a crucifix for a near fall. Lyra then gets another near fall. Liv then hits some forearms. Liv then hits more elbows to the neck. Lyra then gets Liv up and Liv counters with a Codebreaker for a near fall. Liv then hits a kick and another kick. Liv then misses an enzuigiri. Lyra then hits a series of strikes, but Perez pulls the ropes open and Lyra goes to the floor while Liv distracts the referee. Bayley then goes after Perez, but the referee gets in the way. Perez then hits a punch and she sends Bayley over the ringside barrier. Bayley then grabs Perez and chases her to the back. Liv then hits the ObLIVion for the win.

We then head to the back, where Jackie Redmond is with CM Punk. She asks how is he preparing for Bron. Punk says everyone has an opinion and they would rather talk about him than themselves. Punk then says it does not matter. Punk then says if he is the underdog, you are underestimating him.
We then see Byron Saxton in the interview area with Logan Paul and Austin Theory. Byron asks them about the main event. Logan says he hears Rey and Penta talking about them. He then says everyone loves them. Austin then takes the mic and says when it comes to the Vision, it is not a break out night. Austin then says it is confirmation that when Bron becomes the new champion, it isn’t because it was his dream, but their next step. Logan then says he has seen Bron’s potential from the beginning. He then says they are not the future, they are the now. Logan then says they are taking everything.
It is then announced that next week GUNTHER faces AJ Styles when RAW airs at 2PM Eastern.
Bron Breakker then makes his way down to the ring with Paul Heyman for the main event of the night and CM Punk follows.
The match starts off with both men locking up and Punk cinches in a side head lock. Punk then gets a take down and Bron hits a head scissors. Punk then cinches in another side head lock. Punk then works on the shoulder and applies a hammer lock. Bron then goes for a press slam, but Punk escapes. Punk then cinches in a wrist lock and hits a fireman’s carry into an arm bar. Bron then hits a kick to the midsection and follows it up with some knees. Bron then catches Punk on a Thesz Press attempt and Bron hits a power slam.
Bron then cinches in a wrist lock and transitions into a side head lock. Bron then hits a shoulder tackle and he gets a near fall. Bron then hits another shoulder tackle and he gets a near fall. Punk then hits an arm drag and he transitions into an arm bar. Punk then hits some knees to the arm. Punk then hits a hard Irish whip. Punk then hits a reverse atomic drop and a clothesline for a near fall. Punk then hits a side Russian leg sweep. Punk then hits a reverse atomic drop and he goes to the turnbuckles. Punk then hits a double sledge, but Bron catches Punk and hits an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Bron then cinches in a side head lock. Bron then hits a clothesline.
Bron then punches Punk. Bron then chokes Punk. Bron then hits an Irish whip that sends Punk sternum first into the turnbuckles. Bron then hits a catapult into the bottom rope and he gets a near fall. Bron then cinches in a front face lock. Punk then hits some forearms and chops. Bron then hits a slam and a knee drop. Bron then punches Punk. Bron then hits an overhead belly-to-belly throw. Bron then cinches in a reverse chin lock. Bron then avoids the GTS and hits a belly-to-back suplex for a near fall.
Bron then kicks Punk in the head and punches him. Bron then hits a chop and Punk responds with some punches and chops. Bron then hits a hard Irish whip. Bron then hits a running knee to the head. Punk then gets Bron on his shoulders, but Bron reverses and hits a double knee gutbuster for a near fall. Bron then puts Punk on the turnbuckles and Punk punches Bron off. Bron then goes up top and goes for the Frankensteiner, but Bron does not get Punk and he lands on his head while Punk remains on the turnbuckles. Punk then hits an elbow drop for a near fall. Bron then crotches Punk and he goes up top for a superplex, but Punk pushes him off. Bron then hits the Frankensteiner and he gets a near fall. Bron then grabs Punk and presses him over his head, but Punk counters with a DDT. Punk then gets a near fall. Punk and Bron then exchange punches. Bron then hits a kick and some punches. Punk then punches back. Punk then hits a leg lariat and a swinging neck breaker.
Punk then hits a running knee into the corner followed by a short arm clothesline. Punk then goes up top and he hits the elbow drop. Punk then signals that it is time for the GTS and Heyman gets on the apron. Punk then goes over to Heyman and Reed comes to the ring with Logan and Austin. Punk then stops them with punches. Bron then hits Punk from behind and Punk collides with the referee. Austin then hits a curb stomp and Bron gets a near fall. Reed then removes the cover of the announce desk. Dragon Lee, Penta and Rey Mysterio then come out and Lee hits a head scissors on Austin. Reed then catches Rey and Penta and Lee hits some super kicks on Reed and Rey hits a DDT. They then fight into the crowd. Meanwhile, back in the ring where there is still a match.
Bron then waits for Punk to get up for a spear. Bron then misses and hits the ring post. Punk then hits the GTS for a near fall. Punk then hits a pile driver for a near fall. Punk then signals again for the GTS and he gets Bron up again, but Bron counters and applies a Fujiwara arm bar. Punk then gets a rollup for a near fall. Bron then returns to the Fujiwara arm bar. Punk then rolls through and applies the Anaconda Vice. Bron then gets to a seated position and Bron gets Punk up and he hits a double knee gutbuster. Bron then hits a clothesline for a near fall. Bron then signals for the GTS. Bron then picks Punk up and gets him on his shoulders and Punk counters into an ankle lock and an STF.
Bron then crawls to the ropes and he gets there, but Punk pulls him back into the center of the ring and he reapplies the STF. Heyman then gets on the apron and Punk releases the hold. Punk then grabs Heyman and he punches Heyman. Punk then avoids a spear and Bron goes to the floor. Punk then goes for a suicide dive, but Bron punches Punk and hits Punk with a face plant into the floor. Bron then sets up for the apron clothesline onto the announce desk, but Bron decides to go up top and he hits an elbow drop through the table. Bron then drags Punk back into the ring and the straps come down for the spear, but Punk hits a knee to the head. Punk then picks Bron up and hits the GTS for the win.

After the match, the executive producer credits are shown as Punk stands on the middle rope and holds up his title belt. Breakker is then seated and looks dejected on the floor as the show comes to a close.
