WWE has to deal with the Olympics getting involved with NXT’s regularly scheduled time slot. They are also switching up their taping, but it’s not known if the two are directly connected.
The July 27th episode of NXT will air on Syfy because of Olympic coverage on the USA Network. The episode actually isn’t slated to be a live episode either according to Fightful Select.
It is reported that the company is doing a double NXT taping for next week’s show. The tapings are set for Tuesday the 20th and Wednesday the 21st.
It is reported that WWE will invited “regulars” in the NXT crowd back for Wednesday’s taped show. It was not noted why WWE made the decision to tape two episodes of NXT in the same week.
