Matt Riddle vs Velveteen Dream – NXT North American Title Match

Riddle got a huge pop and Dream got a great entrance where he looked like the Statue Of Liberty. Amazing.

The Original Bro took Velveteen Dream down pretty quickly and out-wrestled him until the referee made him break the hold. Dream wasn’t getting in Riddle’s mind as he had with previous opponents.

They had a test of strength, but Riddle flipped over and into an armbar until Dream got to the ropes to get free. Velveteen stomped on Riddle’s bare foot and shook him for a second. Riddle kept kicking out and countering everything until Dream scratched his back. This just made Matt angry.

Dream countered out of a few suplexes and hit a dropkick and two double axhandles. Riddle went on the apron and Dream knocked him off and hit a dive, but Riddle turned it into a German suplex on the outside.

Then Riddle maintained control with a couple running forearms and a senton and a kick for a two count. Velveteen Dream was soon caught in an armbar and then Riddle drove his heel into Dream a few times before he had to break it up.

Dream jumped up and hit a German suplex on Riddle, but that just made him mad. Dream took some more punishment, but kept kicking out.

As Riddle continued, he started drawing boos from the crowd. He was cocky and kept hitting stiff shots. Riddle got another armbar and took Dream down with a triangle, but Dream lifted Riddle up and drove him down. Riddle hit a GTS and another German for another two count.

Riddle started firing off kicks to Dream and said “I’m the bro that runs the show,” but Dream started to HULK UP and even pointed and the whole crowd said, “YOU.” This was followed by a slam and a running knee before clotheslining him of the ring. Then Dream hit a double ax handle from the top rope.

They got back in the ring and Dream hit a Fameasser for a two count.

Dream jumped off the top rope and Riddle nailed another knee before Dream hit a Codebreaker for a two count. Riddle countered another running knee with an ankle lock and held it for a bit.

Velveteen hit a Dream Valley Driver, but Riddle grabbed him off the top rope elbow. Dream got loose and knocked him back down. Dream went to the apron and Riddle hit a German on him dead weight followed by a Floating Bro for a two count.

After trading some more moves, Riddle hit a knee for a two count and then immediately grabbed him. As Dream fought Riddle off, he rolled The Bro up for a pinfall.

Winner: Velveteen Dream
