WWE NXT Superstar Gets Name Change This Week

WWE is always looking to find the right fit for a Superstar, and sometimes that means switching up a name. That happened for one NXT Superstar this week.

WWE registered trademarks recently for Desmond Troy and Ashante Adonis. Fans met Adonis when he was debuted as Tehuti Miles’ new name. We met Desmond Troy this week.

Desmond Troy is the new name for Dejournette. He lost a very quick enhancement match to Tommaso Ciampa this week. The fact that WWE is copyrighting his name is a good sign that they are making some investment in him.

We’ll have to see what’s in his future, but at least WWE owns Desmond Troy’s name.
