The show opens up with Vic Joseph and Wade Barrett welcoming us.
We then see Tony D’Angelo ask Robert Stone if Naraku has signed the contract. Stone says he hasn’t and we will have the contract signings tonight. Stone then says he does not want Tony to get out of line. Tony then stops Aaron Rourke and he wishes him luck and says he has heard good things about Aaron. Aaron then thanks Tony for the kind words.
Aaron Rourke then makes his way down to the ring for the first match of the night and Tristan Angels follows.
WWE EVOLVE Championship Match: Aaron Rourke (c) vs. “Mr. England” Tristan Angels
The match starts off with both men locking up. Aaron Rourke then slaps Tristan Angels across the face and he follows it up with a shoulder tackle. Rourke then applies a side headlock. Angels then hits an uppercut. Angels then drives his shoulder into the midsection of Rourke. Rourke then fights back with a missile dropkick for a near fall. Angels then hears Shiloh Hill’s laugh and gets distracted. The fight then spills to the outside. Back in the ring, Rourke hits Angels with a neck breaker. He then misses a kick. Angels then slams Rourke’s face into the mat.
Angels then hits a clothesline for a near fall. Angels then follows it up with an Irish whip. Angels then sends Rourke into the steel post. Rourke then tries to fight back with a series of clotheslines and he follows it up with a kick. Rourke then catches Angels mid-air and he hits a fallaway slam. Rourke then hits a big back body drop. Rourke then follows it up with a code breaker for a near fall. Angels then misses a Pump Kick. Rourke is now up on the top rope. Angels then hits a kick, sending Rourke to the outside. Someone then drags Angels under the ring. Back in the ring, Rourke superkicks Angels and he follows it up with an Over the Rainbow for the win.

We then see Tony D’Angelo and Robert Stone greet Naraku in the parking lot to get the contract signed. Naraku says he wants to give Tony the contract himself. Stone then says Naraku has been trouble since he arrived. Tony then opens the contract and a fireball goes into his face.
We then see an ambulance arrive at the WWE Performance Center to take care of Tony D’Angelo and the ambulance leaves.
We then see Saquon Shugars waiting for Dion Lennox and Lennox makes his way down to the ring. Lennox says he has already decided how the Great American Bash will go. Shugars then says he wants him one-on-one. Shugars then says he recalls DarkState putting him through the announce desk. Shugars then says he doesn’t move scared, he moves smart. Shugars then says he just made sure it’s just him and the head of the snake in the middle of the ring at the Great American Bash, which is why he took out the other DarkState members.
Shugars then says he wonders if he let down Lennox. Shugars then says Lennox started acting like a leader. Shugars then says NXT needed him to be in the position that Lennox was given. Shugars then calls Lennox another pretender trying to take his spot. Lennox then says DarkState was never supposed to have Shugars. Lennox then promises to leave Shugars in the past at the Great American Bash. Shugars then says there is no DarkState without him. Shugars then says Lennox knew he was the glue holding DarkState together. Shugars then says he doesn’t think Lennox can lace his boots. Lennox then says he knows Shugars and the WWE Universe never saw it because he never showed them his other side.
Lennox then says Shugars can’t do anything on his own without second guessing. Lennox then says dropping Shugars was not a mistake, but a correction. Lennox then calls Shugars his own worst enemy. Lennox then says there is going to come a moment when he will hesitate at the Great American Bash. Lennox then vows to expose Shugars this Sunday. Lennox then says Shugars’ name is already signed on the dotted line of his death warrant and he will stamp it.
We then see Hank Walker and Tank Ledger with Matt Matthews and he wonders what he is doing here tonight. Tank says there are three of them outside and one of you. We then see The Vanity Project in the background talking to Robert Stone.
We then see Myles Borne and he says his entire life he had been uncomfortable. Borne says he was a man with no direction in the NQCC, but he knew what he had to do. Borne then says Tavion Heights is his brother, but it feels like Heights didn’t wish he banked in himself. Heights then says he found a brother for life when he started teaming with Borne. Heights then says he knew that Borne would be a success. Heights then says you didn’t do it on your own. Heights then says Borne became champion and he got pushed aside. Heights then says he will not be forgotten. Heights then says he is gong to prove who he is when he wins on Sunday. Borne then says he will be walking out of the Great American Bash showing he made the right choice. Wren Sinclair then tells Tavion Heights how to preserve themselves. Heights then says everyone else has something. Kendal Grey then shows up and asks who Sinclair thinks will win. Sinclair then says it doesn’t matter because she is happy to be champion. They then talk about how to celebrate their victories on Sunday.
Tag Team Match: Hank & Tank (Hank Walker and Tank Ledger) vs. BirthRight (Uriah Connors and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo)
The match starts off with Uriah Connors and Tank Ledger. After a back-and-forth, Hank Walker takes over. Stacks then enters the fray and knocks Ledge off the apron. BirthRight is now in control. Stacks then drops Walker to his knees. Walker then tries to fight back with a series of chops and he follows it up with a clothesline. Ledger then comes in. Connors then tries to interfere, but Walker and Ledger send him to the outside. We then see Walker and Ledger wiping out BirthRight with a double suicide dive. Back in the ring, Walker and Ledger hit a splash to Connors in the corner. Walker then follows it up with a standing Splash for a near fall.
Stacks then takes Walker to the outside and he drops him on the floor. Back in the ring, Connors continues the beatdown on Walker. Connors then launches Stacks into Walker. Stacks then applies a rear chin lock. Stacks then hits a clubbing blow to the side of the jaw. Ledger then comes in. Ledger then takes the fight to BirthRight. Ledger then hits a crossbody off the turnbuckle. Ledger then tosses Stacks on the turnbuckle and sends him to the outside. Ledger then hits a forearm to Connors under the jaw. The fight then spills to the outside. Ledger then takes out BirthRight. Back in the ring, Connors hits Walker with an uppercut. Stacks then follows it up with an elbow from the top and Ledger breaks the fall.
Both teams are now trading strikes in the middle of the ring. Connors then superkicks Walker. Ledger then hits a big knee to Connors. Walker then catches Stacks mid-air and drops him. Connors then hits a Swanton Bomb halfway across the ring and all four men are down again.
