The show opens up with Vic Joseph and Wade Barrett welcoming us.
We then see Tony D’Angelo ask Robert Stone if Naraku has signed the contract. Stone says he hasn’t and we will have the contract signings tonight. Stone then says he does not want Tony to get out of line. Tony then stops Aaron Rourke and he wishes him luck and says he has heard good things about Aaron. Aaron then thanks Tony for the kind words.
Aaron Rourke then makes his way down to the ring for the first match of the night and Tristan Angels follows.
WWE EVOLVE Championship Match: Aaron Rourke (c) vs. “Mr. England” Tristan Angels
The match starts off with both men locking up. Aaron Rourke then slaps Tristan Angels across the face and he follows it up with a shoulder tackle. Rourke then applies a side headlock. Angels then hits an uppercut. Angels then drives his shoulder into the midsection of Rourke. Rourke then fights back with a missile dropkick for a near fall. Angels then hears Shiloh Hill’s laugh and gets distracted. The fight then spills to the outside. Back in the ring, Rourke hits Angels with a neck breaker. He then misses a kick. Angels then slams Rourke’s face into the mat.
Angels then hits a clothesline for a near fall. Angels then follows it up with an Irish whip. Angels then sends Rourke into the steel post. Rourke then tries to fight back with a series of clotheslines and he follows it up with a kick. Rourke then catches Angels mid-air and he hits a fallaway slam. Rourke then hits a big back body drop. Rourke then follows it up with a code breaker for a near fall. Angels then misses a Pump Kick. Rourke is now up on the top rope. Angels then hits a kick, sending Rourke to the outside. Someone then drags Angels under the ring. Back in the ring, Rourke superkicks Angels and he follows it up with an Over the Rainbow for the win.

We then see Tony D’Angelo and Robert Stone greet Naraku in the parking lot to get the contract signed. Naraku says he wants to give Tony the contract himself. Stone then says Naraku has been trouble since he arrived. Tony then opens the contract and a fireball goes into his face.
We then see an ambulance arrive at the WWE Performance Center to take care of Tony D’Angelo and the ambulance leaves.
We then see Saquon Shugars waiting for Dion Lennox and Lennox makes his way down to the ring. Lennox says he has already decided how the Great American Bash will go. Shugars then says he wants him one-on-one. Shugars then says he recalls DarkState putting him through the announce desk. Shugars then says he doesn’t move scared, he moves smart. Shugars then says he just made sure it’s just him and the head of the snake in the middle of the ring at the Great American Bash, which is why he took out the other DarkState members.
Shugars then says he wonders if he let down Lennox. Shugars then says Lennox started acting like a leader. Shugars then says NXT needed him to be in the position that Lennox was given. Shugars then calls Lennox another pretender trying to take his spot. Lennox then says DarkState was never supposed to have Shugars. Lennox then promises to leave Shugars in the past at the Great American Bash. Shugars then says there is no DarkState without him. Shugars then says Lennox knew he was the glue holding DarkState together. Shugars then says he doesn’t think Lennox can lace his boots. Lennox then says he knows Shugars and the WWE Universe never saw it because he never showed them his other side.
Lennox then says Shugars can’t do anything on his own without second guessing. Lennox then says dropping Shugars was not a mistake, but a correction. Lennox then calls Shugars his own worst enemy. Lennox then says there is going to come a moment when he will hesitate at the Great American Bash. Lennox then vows to expose Shugars this Sunday. Lennox then says Shugars’ name is already signed on the dotted line of his death warrant and he will stamp it.
We then see Hank Walker and Tank Ledger with Matt Matthews and he wonders what he is doing here tonight. Tank says there are three of them outside and one of you. We then see The Vanity Project in the background talking to Robert Stone.
We then see Myles Borne and he says his entire life he had been uncomfortable. Borne says he was a man with no direction in the NQCC, but he knew what he had to do. Borne then says Tavion Heights is his brother, but it feels like Heights didn’t wish he banked in himself. Heights then says he found a brother for life when he started teaming with Borne. Heights then says he knew that Borne would be a success. Heights then says you didn’t do it on your own. Heights then says Borne became champion and he got pushed aside. Heights then says he will not be forgotten. Heights then says he is gong to prove who he is when he wins on Sunday. Borne then says he will be walking out of the Great American Bash showing he made the right choice. Wren Sinclair then tells Tavion Heights how to preserve themselves. Heights then says everyone else has something. Kendal Grey then shows up and asks who Sinclair thinks will win. Sinclair then says it doesn’t matter because she is happy to be champion. They then talk about how to celebrate their victories on Sunday.
BirthRight then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Hank Walker, Tank Ledger and Matt Mathews follow.
Tag Team Match: Hank & Tank (Hank Walker and Tank Ledger) vs. BirthRight (Uriah Connors and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo)
The match starts off with Uriah Connors and Tank Ledger. After a back-and-forth, Hank Walker takes over. Stacks then enters the fray and knocks Ledge off the apron. BirthRight is now in control. Stacks then drops Walker to his knees. Walker then tries to fight back with a series of chops and he follows it up with a clothesline. Ledger then comes in. Connors then tries to interfere, but Walker and Ledger send him to the outside. We then see Walker and Ledger wiping out BirthRight with a double suicide dive. Back in the ring, Walker and Ledger hit a splash to Connors in the corner. Walker then follows it up with a standing Splash for a near fall.
Stacks then takes Walker to the outside and he drops him on the floor. Back in the ring, Connors continues the beatdown on Walker. Connors then launches Stacks into Walker. Stacks then applies a rear chin lock. Stacks then hits a clubbing blow to the side of the jaw. Ledger then comes in. Ledger then takes the fight to BirthRight. Ledger then hits a crossbody off the turnbuckle. Ledger then tosses Stacks on the turnbuckle and sends him to the outside. Ledger then hits a forearm to Connors under the jaw. The fight then spills to the outside. Ledger then takes out BirthRight. Back in the ring, Connors hits Walker with an uppercut. Stacks then follows it up with an elbow from the top and Ledger breaks the fall.
Both teams are now trading strikes in the middle of the ring. Connors then superkicks Walker. Ledger then hits a big knee to Connors. Walker then catches Stacks mid-air and drops him. Connors then hits a Swanton Bomb halfway across the ring and all four men are down again. Charlie Dempsey then accidentally takes out Lexis King. Back in the ring, Walker hits Stacks with a powerslam for the win.

We then see Sarah Schreiber with Shiloh Hill. Sarah asks about what happened in Tristan Angels’ match. Shiloh says he was more nervous for the pageant than any match. Shiloh then says he had to open himself up and they are not done. Shiloh then says now that he is cleared, thinks will get worse for Angels. Shiloh then says he will make Angels regret what he did to him. Shiloh then laughs.
We then see Tony D’Angelo being attended to by the medical team, but there is still no update on his condition.
We then go to the office for the contract signing for the NXT Women’s Title Match between Kendal Grey and Lola Vice. Kendal says what happened last week was an accident and Lola says she does not care. Lola then says she will not be part of Kendal’s redemption story. Kendal then says she saw what Lola did and she wants to do the same thing Lola did. They then talk about how they are the top two crossover talents. Lola then says she will show why she is number one and Kendal is number two. Kendal then says she wants to be at the top of the division and she needs to win.
Kendal then says everyone has raised the bar. Kendal then says you are number one for now. Kendal then says until Sunday when everyone will see what she can do. Kendal then signs the contract. Lola then says Kendal has not done anything she hasn’t done. Lola then says they will talk about you and how the women’s division is the best in the world. Lola then says you will have your success, but not while she is the champion. Lola then says she will beat Kendal and retain. Lola then says you will learn how to humble yourself. Lola then says you will push the women’s division further, but not until she is done.
Keanu Carver then makes his way down to the ring for the next match of the night and EK Prosper follows.
Singles Match: EK Prosper vs. Keanu Carver
The match starts off with both men locking up. Keanu Carver then slams EK Prosper into the mat. Carver then throws Prosper across the ring. Prosper then hits a series of standing dropkicks. Prosper then follows it up with a forearm and a missile dropkick, but Carver is still on his feet. Carver then continues to assault Prosper. Prosper then tries to fight back and he hits Carver with a moonsault. The fight then spills to the outside. Back in the ring, Carver hits Prosper with a backbreaker for a near fall. Carver then throws Prosper across the ring.
Carver is now toying with Prosper. Prosper then hits Carver with a DDT. Carver then hits another devastating backbreaker for a two count. Carver then slams Prosper into the mat and he follows it up with a release German Suplex. Prosper then slaps the taste out of Carver’s mouth and he follows it up with a Shining Wizard. He then hits a dropkick. The fight then spills to the outside and Prosper hits a springboard moonsault. Back in the ring, Carver hits Prosper with a clothesline for another near fall. Both men then exchange strikes in the middle of the ring. Prosper then hits a standing dropkick and he follows it up with a leg drop for a near fall. Prosper then goes for a DDT, but Carver hits a shoulder block. Prosper then gets a roll-up for the win.

After the match, Keanu Carver lays waste to EK Prosper and sends him crashing through the announce desk.
We then see ZARIA and she tells Tatum Paxley they were both in other people’s shadows to fight for this title. ZARIA then says they broke free and stood on their own and they can call themselves champion. ZARIA then says her reign began at the expense of yours. ZARIA then says you couldn’t let things go and you cannot let her enjoy her success. ZARIA then says you didn’t have to cost her the tag match last week. ZARIA then says you are addicted to pain. ZARIA then says she will take a page out of your book. ZARIA then says she will give you a rematch at the Great American Bash to beat you and let you revel in that pain.
We then see Robert Stone and he tells Naraku he should suspend him. Naraku then says you can’t do that because there will be no title match.
Keanu Carver then shows up and says he will go through everyone until he gets a title match. Carver then says EK Prosper is the first, but he won’t be the last.
Izzi Dame then makes her way down to the ring for the next match of the night with The Culling and Arianna Grace follows with BirhtRight.
WWE Women’s Speed Championship #1 Contender’s Match: The Culling’s Izzi Dame vs. BirthRight’s Arianna Grace
The match starts off with Arianna Grace running into a big boot. Izzi Dame then drives her shoulder into the midsection of Grace in the corner. Dame then hits Grace with a sit-out powerbomb for a near fall. Grace then fights back and she hits a Senton for a near fall. Grace then follows it up with a crossbody. Grace then hits a Pump Kick. Grace then heads to the top rope, but Dame cuts her off. Stacks then tries to interfere, but Dame knocks him off the apron. Grace then hits Dame with an elbow for a near fall. Dame then hits a big boot. Shawn Spears then accidentally causes a distraction, opening the door for Grace to get a side cradle for the win.

After the match, Izzi Dame really wants to hurt Shawn Spears.
We then see Wren Sinclair and she makes her way down the aisle. Sarah Schreiber then interrupts Robert Stone and she asks if there is an update about the title match. Stone says he was talking to Rey Mysterio and there will be luchadores on the show. Stone then says he will announce Naraku’s opponent. The Vanity Project then show up and says they want to know how you can have a Great American Bash without them. Stone then tells them to leave.
We then get an NXT Origins video for Alexa Bliss.
We then see Nikkita Lyons and Karmen Petrovic watching Nattie getting an award. They then walk away while Jaida Parker sits down. Bronco Nima and Lucien Price then show up to talk to Jaida. Jaida says she is not doing okay. Lucien then mentions he saw what Bronco did over the weekend. Nima then says they are okay.
Shawn Spears and Niko Vance are still in the ring for the main event of the night and Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux make their way down to the ring.
Tag Team Match: “Super” Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux vs. The Culling (Shawn Spears and Niko Vance)
The match starts off with Shawn Spears and Sean Legacy and both men lock up. Both men then trade chops. Legacy then stomps on the back of Spears. Niko Vance then comes in and he hits a shoulder tackle to Dorian Van Dux. Van Dux then fights back with a hurricanrana and he runs into a big boot. Van Dux then hits an arm drag and Legacy is now the legal man. Legacy then hits a standing moonsault for a near fall. Spears then enters the fray and he hits a leg drop to Legacy. All four men are now in the ring. Legacy then hits Spears with a series of chops. Legacy then drops Vance off the apron. Spears then hits a dropkick, sending Legacy to the floor.
Back in the ring, Vance pounds away at Legacy. Vance then hits a series of elbows and he follows it up with a gut-wrench. Legacy then tries to fight back, but Spears hits him with a backbreaker. Spears then pounds away at Legacy. Vance then hits a headbutt to Legacy. Spears then comes in. Both men are now battling it out on the top rope and Legacy hits a crossbody. Vance then sacrifices himself for Spears. Van Dux then hits a hurricanrana to Vance. Van Dux then hits a moonsault, but Vance breaks the fall. Vance then hits another headbutt to Legacy.
Vance then asks for a tag, but Spears ignores him. Spears then hits a series of chops. Legacy then fights back with a pele kick to the side of the face. Van Dux then hits another moonsault, wiping out Vance. Back in the ring, Legacy hits a 450 Splash. Van Dux then hits a Shooting Star Press for the win.

After the match, Vance clotheslines Spears. Vance then sends Spears outside the ring and puts him crashing through the announce desk.
Vic Joseph and Wade Barrett then run through the card for Sunday’s NXT Great American Bash.
We then see NXT General Manager Robert Stone walking in the backstage area with the WWE NXT Championship. He will address the main event of Great American Bash next.
We then see NXT General Manager Robert Stone standing in the ring. Stone says the match will happen. Stone then brings out Naraku, who caused all this uncertainty. Naraku says if Stone has no one to face him, he will have the NXT Championship. Mason Rook then makes his way down to the ring to confront Naraku. Rook says if Tony D’Angelo can’t fight for the title, then he will fight Naraku. Rook then says he wants to run it back with Naraku for the NXT Championship. Jackson Drake then makes his way out with the Vanity Project and says Rook doesn’t deserve a shot at the NXT Championship. Drake then calls himself a main event talent. Rook then says he has heard enough.
Rook then lays waste to Jackson Drake and he takes the fight to the outside. Naraku then says there is still no one to challenge him and asks Stone to hand over the NXT Championship. Stone then says it was never supposed to be Mason Rook or Jackson Drake. Tony D’Angelo then makes his way out. D’Angelo then punches Naraku. Naraku then punches back and he rakes the eyes. Both men are now trading strikes in the middle of the ring. D’Angelo then goes for a Dead To Rights, but Naraku fights out if it and retreats. D’Angelo then poses with the NXT Championship and stands tall as the show comes to a close.
