The Countdown To WWE Night Of Champions Pre-Show opens up with a shot of the city and several wrestlers arriving. We then get an intro narrated by Tom Rinaldi.

Michael Cole then welcomes us and introduces the other members of the panel Jackie Redmond and Wade Barrett. The panel then runs through the card for today’s show. Byron Saxton then gives us an update on the King and Queen of the Ring finalists and their preparation for today’s matches. The panel then talks about the Undisputed WWE Championship Match.

We then get more discussions from the panel and we are sent to a video package of WWE’s working relationship with Saudi Arabia.

Wade Barrett then gives us a look back at the Queen of the Ring Tournament and we get even more discussions from the panel.

Byron Saxton is now interviewing Jade Cargill. Saxton asks Cargill about where she is for this match. Cargill says she is focused. Cargill then says she has a little girl who can’t wait to see her come home with the crown. Cargill then says Asuka started a fire she can’t put out. The panel then talks about the Queen of the Ring Tournament.

We then take a look at the Street Fight between Rhea Ripley and Raquel Rodriguez.

We then see Jackie Redmond interviewing Rhea Ripley earlier today. Ripley is asked about her current hatred of Raquel Rodriguez. Ripley says it is all Rodriguez’s fault. Ripley then says they were best friends in NXT. Ripley then says she felt like they were family. Ripley then says she loved her like a sister. Ripley then says once her career took off and she faced Shayna Baszler for the title, Rodriguez turned. Ripley then says everything changed. Ripley then says she has a reminder of what Rodriguez meant to her.

Redmond then asks Ripley what will she do to win. Ripley says she will do absolutely anything. Ripley then says they had a Last Woman Standing and a No Holds Barred match and they each won one. Ripley then says she will do anything to put Rodriguez in the ground because she has been a thorn in her side. Ripley then says Rodriguez knows all of her struggles to get here so she wants to smash Rodriguez in the face. Redmond then asks Ripley how much this win means to get back into the championship picture. Ripley says she will stop at nothing to get her baby back. Ripley then says she has done things she is not proud of but she will have to do it again. Ripley then says she has to go through people again to get there. Ripley then says if she does not want the title, why is she even here. Ripley then says she wants to be the top dog and she has to show everyone who she is.

We then take a look back at yesterday’s WWE Women’s United States Championship Match.

We then take a look at the one-on-one match between Sami Zayn and Karrion Kross.

Byron Saxton is now interviewing Karrion Kross and Scarlett. Saxton asks Kross what he is trying to prove. Kross says he is proving the truth that he sees. Kross then says Zayn is a misdirection artist. Kross then says it is a charade. Kross then says Zayn tries to get you to believe that he is a different man. Kross then says Zayn is a violent person. Kross then says Zayn weaponizes sympathy. Kross then brings up the Bloodline. Kross then says everyone talks about Zayn’s story about becoming World Champion, but no one asks him about his story. Kross then says everyone is talking about his story and he doesn’t want another viral moment.

We then take a look at the WWE United States Championship Match and we get a discussion from the panel.

We then see what took place after last night’s WWE Tag Team Championship Match on SmackDown.

The panel then talks about the CM Punk and John Cena segment from last night’s WWE SmackDown.

We then get even more discussions from the panel.

We then take a look at some community work that the WWE did in Saudi Arabia.

WWE Night Of Champions Results (6/28/25): Live Match Updates and Highlights

WWE Night Of Champions opens up with a shot of the city. We then see Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn, Karrion Kross, Scarlett, Rhea Ripley, Raquel Rodriguez, Asuka, Jade Cargill and CM Punk arriving to the arena.

We then get a video package that was narrated by Tom Rinaldi. We then get a big pyrotechnics display as Michael Cole and Wade Barrett welcomes us to the show. We are also welcomed by the Arabic commentary team.

Randy Orton then makes his way down to the ring for the first match of the night and Cody Rhodes follows.

King of the Ring Tournament Final Round Match: “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes vs. “The Viper” Randy Orton

The match starts off with both men locking up and Rhodes nails Orton, then hits him with a bulldog. Rhodes then goes for a pin, but Orton kicks out. Orton then responds with a superplex on Rhodes off the ropes, but Rhodes nails him with a Disaster Kick and goes for another pin. Orton then kicks out, then sends Rhodes bouncing off the top of his thigh. Rhodes then uses the ring post to wear down Orton’s spine and wrenches back on him, but Orton runs over Rhodes with a pair of clotheslines and a scoop powerslam.

Rhodes then hits a right hand on Orton’s spine and follows it up with a springboard neckbreaker, then hits him with a Cody Cutter out of the corner. Orton then hits a hanging DDT on Rhodes and sets up for an RKO, but Rhodes counters into a Cross-Rhodes and goes for a pin. Orton then kicks out. Orton then hits an RKO on Rhodes and goes for a pin, but Rhodes kicks out. Rhodes then cinches in a Figure Four Leg Lock on Orton, but Orton reverses into a Figure Eight Leg Lock. Rhodes then briefly turns it around back into a Figure Four Leg Lock, but Orton grabs the bottom rope to break the hold.

Orton and Rhodes then deliver right hands on one another, but Rhodes sets up for a Disaster Kick on Orton. Orton then counters into a RKO and goes for a pin, but Rhodes kicks out once again. Orton then grabs a chair from the timekeeper’s area and brings it into the ring, but the referee grabs it from him. As the referee disposes of it, Orton exposes the top turnbuckle. Orton then looks to send Rhodes crashing into it face first, but Rhodes blocks Orton and sends him crashing into it armpit first. Rhodes then follows it up with Cross-Rhodes for the win.

After the match, Cody Rhodes is presented with his crown by SmackDown General manager Nick Aldis and RAW General Manager Adam Pearce. Byron Saxton then enters the ring to interview Rhodes. Saxton then congratulates Rhodes and asks him about his chance to win back the title at SummerSlam. Rhodes says he has to thank Randy Orton. Rhodes then says he has nothing but respect for the man who mentored him and stood up for him. Rhodes then says he is well aware and he hears everyone. Rhodes then says first Jey Uso, then Randy Orton. Rhodes then says at SummerSlam he faces CM Punk or John Cena. Rhodes then says he gets how you feel as an audience when he faces them. Rhodes then says he was born to do this. Rhodes then says they are holding on to that title for him and at SummerSlam, he gets the ball back.

WWE Tag Team Champions The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) are then shown in the crowd. Michael Cole then hypes RAW’s early start time of 5CT/6ET. Cole also says this is the 13th time that WWE has held a premium live event in Saudi Arabia.

We then get a video package on Rhea Ripley and Raquel Rodriguez and Ripley talks about how the both of them were friends at one time and how much things have changed.

Raquel Rodriguez then makes her way down to the ring for the next match of the PLE and Rhea Ripley follows.

Street Fight: “The Eradicator” Rhea Ripley vs. The Judgment Day’s WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Raquel Rodriguez

The match starts off with both women locking up. Rodriguez then delivers a knee on Ripley’s midsection and looks to hit a Fallaway Slam on her, but Ripley sends Rodriguez’s head bouncing off her knee and looks to hit a clothesline on her. Rodriguez then stays standing on her feet and nails Ripley with a clothesline, then hits two more Fallaway Slams and delivers some shoulders on her midsection in the corner.

Rodriguez then hits a splash on Ripley in the corner, then ties her up on the ropes and hits an overhand chop on her. Rodriguez then grabs a chair and a kendo stick from under the ring, then hits Ripley with both the kendo stick and the chair. Ripley then untangles herself and dropkicks Rodriguez out of the ring, then sets up the Night Of Champions logo from the announce desk in the barricades near the timekeeper’s area and clears the Arabic announce desk. Ripley then drags Rodriguez on top of it, then knocks her off of it and sets up for a hurricanrana. Rodriguez then catches Ripley and powerbombs her through the Night Of Champions logo that Ripley had set up in the timekeeper’s area.

Rodriguez then sets up a table in the corner of the ring, then sends Ripley’s face bouncing off the announce desk and the ring apron. Rodriguez then removes one of the ring steps and sets it up on its side on top of the ring apron, but Ripley sends Rodriguez crashing into it face first and removes the belt from her waist. Ripley then lashes Rodriguez with the belt and continues to do so as both women return to the ring.

Ripley then cinches in a Texas Cloverleaf on Rodriguez, but Roxanne Perez breaks the hold by hitting Ripley from behind. Perez then wears Ripley down with a front face lock on the outside, but Ripley counters into a suplex on the floor and grabs a garbage can from under the ring. Ripley then places it on Perez’s head and hits a running knee on her, but Rodriguez scoops Ripley up and sends her crashing into the ring post face first. Rodriguez then sends Ripley crashing into the ring steps on the apron face first and hits a corkscrew elbow on Ripley out of the corner, then goes for a pin but Ripley kicks out.

Rodriguez then looks to send Ripley crashing through the table in the corner, but Ripley counters into a hurricanrana. Rodriguez then stops her own momentum and runs over Ripley, then moves the table to set it up between the top turnbuckle. Ripley then sends Rodriguez crashing into the side of the table face first, then sends her face repeatedly bouncing off the top of the table and drags her on top of it. Ripley then hits the Rip Tide on Rodriguez off the top of the table for the win.

Michael Cole and Wade Barrett then recaps Giulia beating Zelina Vega to win the Women’s United States Championship on Friday’s Smackdown and Giulia is then shown standing in the crowd with her championship.

Karrion Kross and Scarlett then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the PLE and Sami Zayn follows.

Singles Match: Sami Zayn vs. Karrion Kross

The match starts off with both men locking up and Zayn delivers some right hands on Kross, then clotheslines him out of the ring over the top rope. Kross then hits a T-Bone suplex on Zayn, then jams his knee into the back of Zayn’s neck and drapes him off the top rope by his knees. Kross then delivers some stomps on Zayn, then goes for a pin but Zayn kicks out. Kross then delivers some right hands on Zayn, but Zayn returns the favor and nails Kross with a clothesline. He then delivers some chops on him in the corner, then hits more right hands on him.

Kross then gets Zayn up on his shoulders and hits a Death Valley Driver on him, then goes for a pin but Zayn kicks out. Zayn then hits an Exploder on Kross in the corner, then sets up for the Helluva Kick. Kross then intercepts Zayn as he charges at him, then cinches in a Sleeper on him. Zayn then escapes and hits the Helluva Kick on Kross for the win.

Michael Cole then hypes WWE Survivor Series in San Diego and we get video footage of Los Garza winning the AAA World Tag Team Titles. Angel and Berto are then shown wearing the championship while standing next to Santos Escobar in the crowd.

We then get a video package looking at the rivalry between Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa.

Solo Sikoa and JC Mateo then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the PLE and Jacob Fatu follows.

WWE United States Championship Match: “The Samoan Werewolf” Jacob Fatu (c) vs. Solo Sikoa

The match starts off with Sikoa nailing Fatu. Fatu then beats down Sikoa in the corner and delivers some stomps on him, then yells at him and hits a running senton. Fatu then looks to hit a suicida dive on Sikoa on the outside, but Sikoa hits him with a right hand. Sikoa then hits a Spinning Solo on Fatu on the ring apron, then hits a second one on him on the floor and delivers a right hand and stomps on him back inside the ring.

Sikoa then hits a Hip Attack on Fatu in the corner, then wears him down with a submission and hits him with a German suplex. Fatu then quickly recovers and hits a German suplex on Sikoa, then follows it up with a Hip Attack and an Impaler. Fatu then ascends to the top rope and hits a Swanton Bomb on Sikoa, then goes for a pin but Sikoa kicks out.

JC Mateo then runs down to the ring to distract the referee as Fatu climbs to the top rope. A hooded figure then pushes Fatu off the top rope, revealing himself to be Tanga Loa. Sikoa then goes for a pin, but Fatu kicks out. Fatu then flies over the top rope to nail Mateo and Loa on the outside, then hits a Hip Attack on Mateo in the corner and follows it up with his signature moonsault off the top rope. He then goes for a pin, but Hikuleo breaks the fall by pulling Fatu out of the ring. He then sends Fatu crashing on top of the announce desk with a chokeslam and Sikoa hits a Samoan Spike on Fatu back inside the ring for the win.

We then see WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton holding up her championship in the crowd.

We then get a video package setting up the Queen of the Ring Tournament final and Asuka makes her way down to the ring for the next match of the night. Jade Cargill then makes her way down to the ring next.

Queen of the Ring Tournament Final Round Match: “The Empress of Tomorrow” Asuka vs. Jade Cargill

The match starts off with both women wasting no time in going after each other and locking up. Asuka then hits a waist lock on Cargill. Cargill then hits a back elbow to escape. Asuka then cinches in an octopus, but Cargill escapes with a side slam and she gets a near fall. Cargill then misses a bicycle kick and Asuka hits a dragon screw in the ropes. Asuka then works on the knee. Asuka then hits kicks to the hamstring. Cargill then kicks Asuka and Asuka hits a drop kick for a near fall. Asuka then hits some kicks and Cargill goes for a choke slam, but Asuka floats through and applies a knee bar. Cargill then gets to her feet and hits a wheelbarrow suplex.

Cargill then hits some forearms and a spinebuster. Cargill then an elbow into the corner and a fallaway slam. Cargill then a thrust kick. Cargill then hits a choke slam for a near fall. Asuka then hits a kick and both women are down. Asuka and Cargill then exchange forearms. Cargill then with the advantage, but Asuka regains it with a back fist and strikes. Asuka then hits a missile drop kick for a near fall. Asuka then goes for the Asuka Lock, but Cargill counters to try for Jaded and Asuka with a victory roll for a near fall. Cargill then a sit out power bomb for a near fall. Asuka then hits a cross arm breaker on Cargill, but Cargill locks her hands and Asuka restores the hold. Cargill then a kick and Asuka escapes Jaded. Asuka then cinches in an Asuka Lock and body scissors. Cargill then floats over and gets a near fall. Asuka then hits a round kick and a running hip but Cargill catches her and hits Jaded on her for the win.

After the match, RAW General Manager Adam Pearce and SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis present the crown to Cargill and congratulate her. Byron saxton then asks Jade Cargill about winning and SummerSlam. Cargill says the world was on her shoulders. Cargill then says people who are down on themselves, praise yourselves. Cargill then says don’t let them tell you who you are. Cargill then says show them. Cargill then says a storm is coming at SummerSlam.

It is then announced that the WWE World Tag Team Championships are on the line on RAW when The New Day defend against Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh. It is also announced that Sheamus will face Rusev. Commentary also hypes GUNTHER vs. Goldberg for the World Heavyweight Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 12.

Michael Cole then hypes that Rhea Ripley, Solo Sikoa and Paul Levesque will appear on the Night of Champions post-show.

We then get a video package of the main event of the PLE. CM Punk then makes his way down to the ring for the main event of the PLE and John Cena follows.

Undisputed WWE Championship Match: John Cena (c) vs. “The Best In The World” CM Punk

The match starts off with both men wasting no time in going after each other and locking up. Cena then cinches in a side head lock on Punk. Punk then cinches in a top wrist lock on Cena. Cena then gets to the ropes to force a break. Both men then lock up again and Punk cinches in a side head lock on Cena, but Cena escapes. Both men then go for a Greco Roman Knuckle Lock and Punk gets a side head lock take down on Cena. Cena then cinches in a head scissors on Punk and Punk escapes. Both men then lock up again and Punk gets a side head lock on Cena. Cena then gets a break and hits a wrist lock and a side head lock on Punk. Cena then hits a shoulder tackle on Punk.

Cena then hits some punches and a head butt on Punk. Cena then hits more punches on Punk in the ropes. Cena then hits a suplex on Punk and gets a near fall. Cena then hits a reverse chin lock on Punk and follows it up with a shoulder tackle. Punk then gets Cena on his shoulders, but Cena escapes and goes to the floor. Punk then reclines on the turnbuckles while he waits for Cena to re-enter the ring. Punk then blocks a kick and hits some punches and kicks on Cena. Cena then gets Punk on his shoulders and Punk gets a rollup for a near fall. Punk then delivers a punch on Cena. Punk then hits a side Russian leg sweep on Cena for a near fall. Punk then cinches in an arm bar on Cena. Punk then wrings the arm of Cena and he applies an octopus. Cena then escapes and he takes Punk to the mat for a near fall.

Cena then hits a boot to the head of Punk. Cena then hits two flying shoulder tackles and a Blue Thunder Bomb on Punk. Cena then sets up for the Five Knuckle Shuffle and hits it. Cena then gets Punk up for the Attitude Adjustment. Punk then escapes and hits a leg lariat and a bulldog on Cena. Punk then hits a running knee on Cena and he goes up top for the elbow drop and hits it. Punk then goes for the GTS, but Cena blocks it and applies an STF. Punk then cinches in a choke on Cena and Cena gets a near fall with a rollup. Cena then hits an Attitude Adjustment for a near fall. Punk then escapes another Attitude Adjustment and hits a DDT. Punk then goes for an STF, but Cena gets to the ropes. Punk then hits a knee into the corner, but Cena avoids the bulldog and hits a Blue Thunder Bomb. Punk then kicks Cena when Cena goes for the Attitude Adjustment. After a number of counters, Cena hits an Attitude Adjustment on Punk for a near fall.

Cena then puts Punk on the turnbuckles and Cena sets up for a Super Attitude Adjustment, but Punk hits some elbows to get back on the turnbuckles and he sends Cena to the mat. Punk then hits a cross body, but Cena rolls through and gets Punk on his shoulders for an Attitude Adjustment and Punk kicks out. Cena then goes to the floor to bring the belt into the ring and the referee warns him. Cena then looks at Punk and he tosses the belt to the floor. Cena then goes for an Attitude Adjustment, but Punk escapes and hits a GTS for a near fall. Punk and Cena then exchange punches and Cena hits a kick. Both men then exchange many more punches. Cena then hits a flying shoulder tackle and he misses the second one when Punk ducks and the referee goes down. Punk then hits a GTS. Punk then waves to the back for a referee and Seth Rollins’ music plays and he makes his way down to the ring with his group. Rollins then hands his glasses to Paul Heyman and he takes off his jacket. Rollins then makes a fist with his hand and Bron and Reed go after Punk. Punk then fights off Bron and Reed and sends them to the floor. Punk then hits a pescado on Bron and Reed, but Reed punches Punk. Reed and Bron then hit Punk with a double choke slam through the announce desk.

Rollins then stands in the ring and he waves for a referee, but Cena punches Charles Robinson as he approaches the ring. Cena and Rollins then have words. Rollins then misses Cena with the briefcase and Cena hits an Attitude Adjustment on Rollins. Reed and Bron then attack Cena and punch him. Penta’s music then plays and he makes his way to the ring and Bron goes after him while Reed continues his attack on Cena. Penta then hits a super kick to Bron, but Bron hits a back drop on the ramp. Sami Zayn’s music then plays and he comes out and he punches Bron and they fight toward the back. Penta then hits a cross body off the ramp on Bron while Sami holds him. Punk then pushes Reed off the turnbuckles when he goes for a Tsunami on Cena. Cena then hits an Attitude Adjustment on Reed. Punk then offers his hand to Cena and Cena shakes it. Both men then hug, but Cena looks to betray Punk. Punk then sees Cena coming, but Rollins nails Punk with his briefcase and hits a Curb Stomp on him. Cena then takes advantage and pins Punk for the win.

After the match, Cena leaves the ring and heads to the stage while Rollins stays in the ring. Cena then looks into the camera and says, “You stay on and watch this,” while pointing at the ring. Cena then holds up his champion and the screen goes black for a moment. Cena then exits the stage and Rollins shows some frustration while exiting with Heyman and Reed. The crowd then chans for Punk, who is down in the middle of the ring. Punk then tries and fails to sit up a few times, but sventually does. Punk then goes to ringside and hugs a fan, then slaps hands with others while his entrance theme plays and the show comes to a close.
