Haku apparently isn’t disappearing from WWE television after one surprise appearance. The WWE Hall of Famer is already in Boston ahead of the August 14 edition of SmackDown, and he’s expected to show up on tonight’s broadcast.
According to PWInsider, questions have started coming in about whether Haku will become a regular part of WWE programming moving forward. There’s no confirmation of a full-time role just yet, but his presence in Boston makes one thing clear—WWE isn’t done with him.
“We’ve been asked by several readers is Haku will regularly be on WWE programming going forward. While we have not heard 100% he is in full-time, Haku is already in Boston ahead of tonight’s Smackdown and will be appearing tonight.”
That makes tonight considerably more interesting after WWE brought Haku into The Bloodline picture just two weeks ago. During the July 31 edition of SmackDown, Haku appeared in a pre-taped backstage segment with the MFTs. He reminded them not to forget who they were and offered some motivation before their SummerSlam battle.
The appearance wasn’t originally supposed to happen that night either. Fightful Select reported that WWE had planned to air the Haku segment the previous week before ultimately holding it back until the SummerSlam go-home show. One appearance could have been a surprise. Two weeks later, Haku is back in the building—and now the question is how much WWE plans on using him moving forward.
