Madusa has already done just about everything there is to do in pro wrestling, and now the WWE Hall of Famer is adding horror movie actress to the list. The former Alundra Blayze has joined the cast of “The Last Hunt,” where she’ll play a character named Dawn in a found-footage horror film set to begin shooting this fall in Georgia.

Written and directed by Brock Drury, “The Last Hunt” follows hunting vlogger Cash Walker as he heads to the remote Blackwater Lodge with his family and film crew to shoot his next episode. What starts as a routine trip quickly turns into the kind of nightmare nobody plans for.

Madusa, real name Debrah Miceli, built her legacy across WWE and WCW, became a three-time WWE Women’s Champion and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2015. Now she’s stepping into a completely different kind of spotlight. And she made it clear she’s not interested in being treated like some retired legend who disappeared from public life.

“People think Hall of Famers sit on couches. I still work. I still plant trees. And I still know how to make an audience lean in when the blood hits.”

That last line fits pretty well for a horror movie. Drury said the whole idea was to put Madusa somewhere fans wouldn’t normally expect to see her and let her show a side that has nothing to do with championship belts or wrestling rings.

“We’re incredibly excited to have Madusa join The Last Hunt. Audiences know her for her legendary wrestling career, but we wanted to put her in a completely different environment. Her role as Dawn gives us the opportunity to show audiences a side of Madusa they may not have seen before.”

The movie is being produced by Bradley Harrelson and Lone Pine Productions, with principal photography expected to begin this fall in Georgia. “The Last Hunt” is Drury’s second feature film following “The Sim Racer,” which is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

Madusa spent years making people pay attention in wrestling, and now she’s getting another chance to do it in a completely different setting. This time, there won’t be a championship on the line — just a horror story, a camera crew and apparently plenty of blood.
