The WWE Hall of Fame isn’t leaving Saudi Arabia after all. After a report claimed the ceremony would be moved to New York during WrestleMania 43 week, Saudi Arabia official Turki Alalshikh stepped in personally to shut the rumor down and confirm that the Hall of Fame is still expected to take place in Riyadh.
The confusion started when Qatar Pro Wrestling chairman Ali Al-Marafi claimed WrestleMania 43 would be held in Riyadh, but the Hall of Fame, NXT and AAA events would instead take place in New York before being pre-recorded.
That version of events didn’t last very long. Turki Alalshikh took to Twitter and responded directly to the claim, making it clear the report was wrong and confirming that the Hall of Fame remains part of WWE’s Saudi Arabia plans.
“Incorrect talk and all these offers will be in Riyadh😎”
With that response, Alalshikh effectively confirmed that the 2027 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony is expected to remain in Riyadh as part of WrestleMania 43 weekend rather than being split off into a separate event in New York.
The update also backs up what WrestleVotes reported recently. During a Q&A session, JoeyVotes revealed that Saudi Arabia had specifically inquired about hosting the Hall of Fame, while TC went even further by saying there was little doubt it would happen. Now, one of the key figures behind Saudi Arabia’s growing relationship with WWE has publicly reinforced exactly that.
Assuming plans don’t change, WrestleMania 43 weekend won’t just see WWE’s biggest show of the year head to Saudi Arabia. The Hall of Fame ceremony is expected to make the trip as well, creating one of the biggest changes to WrestleMania week in decades.
