WWE Universal Championship Match

(C) Kevin Owens Vs. Goldberg

The fans are firmly behind Goldberg in this one but Kevin Owens is defiant and brash; shoving the title in Goldberg’s face. Before the referee can get the two started, Owens leaves the ring and wanders around. Just as Corey Graves said, Owens looks to dictate the pace of the match and outlast Goldberg.

Eventually Owens feigns re-entering the ring and the fans boo. Goldberg is getting itchy. Owens finally does climb back into the ring and immediately drops down and rolls back out. Michael Cole says the bell has yet to ring but it actually rung before their introductions, but I’m assuming they’re going to act like it hasn’t rang.

Owens enters the ring and just as the “bell” rings, Chris Jericho’s music hits and out comes Y2J. Owens stares at Jericho, only to be smashed with a Spear! Goldberg quickly lifts Owens and hits a Jackhammer for the win.

Winner and New WWE Universal Champion: Goldberg

Goldberg celebrates with the title and his family as Fastlane goes off the air. What did you think of the show? Let us know in the comments, download the Ringside News app, and I will see you back here tomorrow night for Monday Night Raw!
