Ricky Starks has been a major figure in AEW since 2020, but he has notably been absent from television since late March. A number of fans are eager for him to join WWE and it appears even WWE is interested in signing him.

On the March 30 episode of AEW Collision, Ricky Starks appeared to sustain an injury during a tag team title tournament match where he and Big Bill faced off against Top Flight. This match ended up being his last appearance on AEW television, and he has been absent since then for reasons that remain unclear.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, WWE is interested in signing several All Elite Wrestling stars, including Ricky Starks. Johnson noted that multiple WWE sources have indicated there is “certainly interest” in several AEW talents whose contracts are nearing expiration or who have been off television for a while.

Ricky Starks is among those mentioned, although there is no confirmation on whether WWE and Starks have engaged in discussions or how long the former AEW World Tag Team Champion’s current contract with AEW has left.

Regardless of these developments, only time will tell whether Ricky Starks will return to AEW or if he will sign with WWE somewhere down the line, as anything is possible in the world of professional wrestling.
