WWE Extreme Rules debuted on June 7, 2009, in New Orleans, Louisiana. The event became known for matches featuring stipulations such as Extreme Rules, Ladder, Steel Cage, Strap, I Quit and Fight Pit matches. WWE’s official archive lists the most recent edition as the October 8, 2022 event in Philadelphia.

WWE Extreme Rules 2022 took place on Saturday, October 8, at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The show included Matt Riddle defeating Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins inside the Fight Pit, Ronda Rousey defeating Liv Morgan in an Extreme Rules Match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship and Bray Wyatt making his return to WWE at the end of the event.
