Danhausen is apparently taking credit for the New York Knicks’ playoff run, and WWE is fully leaning into the joke.
WWE Shop released new Danhausen merchandise tied to the Knicks after fans started connecting the team’s recent success to Danhausen “uncursing” them. The new shirt mixes Danhausen’s branding with the Knicks logo and references the bizarre storyline that the team has now won nine straight playoff games since the curse was supposedly lifted. The product description fully embraces the crossover between wrestling and basketball.

The description continues by promoting the collaboration as a mix of Danhausen’s personality and the Knicks’ branding.

The timing is hard to ignore because the Knicks currently hold a 2-0 lead over the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals, causing plenty of fans online to joke that Danhausen’s curse storyline somehow worked.
Danhausen has built a massive following thanks to his weird humor and over-the-top personality, and now WWE is cashing in on the unexpected playoff connection with officially licensed merchandise.
Whether fans actually believe Danhausen uncursed the Knicks or not, WWE clearly sees money in the joke while New York keeps winning.
