Jaida Parker’s first big moment on RAW came with a little something extra for fans who know what’s going on outside the ring. Before she helped turn Jacob Fatu’s night into a disaster, WWE gave Parker and Jey Uso a very noticeable face-to-face — and Dave Meltzer says that was no accident.
The moment came during the WWE RAW episode on September 28, 2026 after Jey Uso and Jacob Fatu rushed toward Parker’s arriving car thinking The 946 had finally shown up. Parker told them she was there to speak with Adam Pearce, but WWE made sure Jey and Parker stopped and locked eyes before she walked off. On Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer said WWE was absolutely playing into the fact that Parker and Jey are a real-life couple.
“Yeah. But the thing is, is, is they did the. The. The face off with Jada and Jay. Because Jada and Jay, for the people who know, are like a real life couple.”
Meltzer said Jey’s reaction was part of it too. WWE didn’t spell anything out for viewers, but he believes the company wanted fans who already know about their relationship to catch the little wink.
“They definitely played the way that they. They faced off because Jay made the reaction and everything of, like, we’re playing that. Like, they didn’t tell you it. And I don’t think that they will tell you it in the storyline at all. But for those who know, they wanted to make sure, wink, wink. We’re showing you.”
That makes the moment even better when you look at how the night ended. Parker spent the beginning of RAW acting like she had nothing to do with The 946. By the end of the show, she was standing over Jacob Fatu after he was run over by a black sedan and dropped the line that made her real allegiance crystal clear.
“Ain’t nobody safe.”
Parker then took off with Royce Keys, blowing up any idea that she just happened to be hanging around RAW that night. The whole thing made her earlier run-in with Jey feel a lot more deliberate once the show was over.
WWE never told viewers that Jey and Parker are together in real life, and Meltzer doesn’t expect them to start doing that now. The company simply gave people who already knew a little nod before Parker turned around and helped wreck Jey’s family later in the night.
That’s what made the scene work. WWE didn’t beat fans over the head with it, didn’t turn it into some forced romance angle and didn’t explain the joke — they just let Jey and Jaida stare each other down and trusted the people who knew to pick up on it.
