The July 24 episode of WWE SmackDown went down in the Oakland Arena in Oakland, California. The night was full of SummerSlam hype, and fans were ready for action.

Rhea Ripley’s reign as WWE Women’s Champion was cut short thanks to an injury, but she will be back. In the meantime, WWE is going to crown an Interim Women’s Champion with a ladder match at SummerSlam. This week on SmackDown, fans saw the company fill two more of those spots.

Tiffany Stratton and Jade Cargill are already in that SummerSlam ladder match. It was anyone’s guess who would join them in that marquee match that may steal the show.

Chelsea Green took on Kiana James in singles action this week. The match had even more riding on it, because this was a SummerSlam ladder match qualifier. In the end, Chelsea Green won the match to earn a spot at SummerSlam.

In the second qualifier match, Charlotte Flair and Nia Jax threw down in a match that was set up last week. After all, it was Flair who interfered in Jax’s match against Jade Cargill. After the match had a chance to get going, Jade Cargill made her way to ringside with her stable. This caused a distraction for Charlotte Flair, and The Queen had a chance to dismantle B-Fab and Michin. Then Jade Cargill got in the ring and destroyed Charlotte Flair, which caused a DQ.

We will have to see who wins the Interim WWE Women’s Title at SummerSlam. Rhea Ripley will likely be waiting to see who wins as well, because The Nightmare already has a match in line with the new champion.

What’s your take on WWE booking this ladder match so far? Who do you think will win the match? Let us know what you think in the comments section!
