Will Ospreay has an AEW World Championship match against Kenny Omega at Wembley Stadium tomorrow, but apparently he still had time for one more RevPro match first. Less than a day before AEW All In, Ospreay made a surprise return during RevPro’s 14 Year Anniversary Show at Wembley.
Ospreay wasn’t originally announced for the match either. Sha Samuels showed up to create a five-on-four advantage against CPF, only for Ospreay to come out as the mystery partner and even the odds.
That meant Ospreay wasn’t just making a quick appearance before All In. He actually stepped into the ring and wrestled less than 24 hours before challenging Omega for the AEW World Championship.
There was also an interesting face waiting for Ospreay on his own side. Callum Newman was part of CPF, meaning Ospreay suddenly found himself teaming with someone he has had plenty of friction with. Ospreay showing up for RevPro’s anniversary event shouldn’t be completely surprising considering his long history with the promotion.
That’s a pretty strong indication of how much RevPro still means to Ospreay. Now he has less than a day to turn around and prepare for Kenny Omega with the AEW World Championship waiting at Wembley.
