AEW gave the Glasgow crowd something that will not air on television. Before the August 26, 2026 episode of Dynamite went live, former TNA Wrestling star Grado hit the ring for a surprise match.

Grado faced Nathan Cruz in a dark match before AEW started taping Dynamite and Collision at the OVO Hydro. The Scottish fan favorite defeated Cruz, sending the crowd home with a moment nobody watching on TBS or HBO Max will get to see.

Bringing Grado out in Scotland was an easy way to fire up the building. He became one of the biggest names in the country through Insane Championship Wrestling before taking his act to TNA, where his entrance and “Like a Prayer” routine turned him into a cult favorite.

This also was not Grado’s first time crashing an AEW event in Glasgow. When AEW visited Scotland in 2025, Lance Archer started destroying wrestlers and security after a match. Grado’s music hit, the building erupted and he stormed the ring to drop Rocky Romero with the Wee Boot.

AEW went further this time and gave him a complete singles match. Grado got the win, soaked up the reaction and disappeared before the television cameras started rolling. The dark match happened before AEW’s final Dynamite on the road to All In at Wembley Stadium.

Should AEW bring Grado back and put him on television the next time the company visits Scotland? Let us know in the comments.
