WWE gave fans inside the building some extra action before the July 28 episode of NXT went live. Three matches took place off television, including the return of an injured NXT talent and a big win over Charlie Dempsey.
Hank Walker and Tank Ledger faced Harley Riggins and Jax Presley in the first match. Hank and Tank picked up the victory after hitting their assisted powerslam combination on Presley. The match marked Presley’s return to the ring after he suffered an injury earlier in 2026.
WWE ID prospect Zoe Sager was also in action against Wendy Choo. Choo locked in the Dirt Nap submission hold, but Sager reached the ropes and then caught her with a pin to steal the victory.
The final non-televised match saw EK Prosper take on Charlie Dempsey, who had Arianna Grace and Lexis King in his corner. Prosper scored the upset victory after connecting with a diving leg lariat from the top rope.
None of the three matches aired when NXT went live on The CW in the United States and Netflix internationally. Fans inside the arena still got to see several rising names compete before the main show started.
Jax Presley’s return was the biggest development from the pre-show action, while Prosper’s victory over Dempsey could help him earn more opportunities moving forward.
