Russo comments on the news that Matt Morgan is entering the political world. Russo says that Morgan is one of the most intelligent people he has ever met in the wrestling business, and he hopes that Morgan is successful in his political aspirations.
Lane mentions that NJPW’s Okada recently said that NJPW’s roster is significantly better than WWE’s. Gilbertti says if that’s the case, why isn’t the product popular in North America? He adds that nobody knows who Okada or these other guys are except for wrestling insiders, and they can all stay in Japan working their ‘strong style’ and killing each other.
Russo asks Gilbertti if he was ever in the ring with another performer for a promo segment, where the other performer’s promo made him up his game on the mic. Russo believes that’s exactly what happened last Monday, when Cena taught Reigns a lesson on the mic. Gilbertti says there were several times when promos got heated, but he was always prepared to fire back if his opponent ‘shot’ on him.
Lane points out that Enzo Amore continues to get heat backstage, most recently by paying $10,000 for a ticket to the Mayweather/Mcgregor fight where he took pictures with other celebrities. Russo says he doesn’t understand why this type of stuff gets Amore heat backstage. If he was backstage he would be entertained by Amore’s antics, and he would look forward to hearing from Amore each day.
