Rumors about Vince McMahon still having influence inside WWE aren’t slowing down, and now Jim Ross is weighing in with a strong take about WrestleMania.

While discussing speculation about McMahon’s role behind the scenes, Ross made it clear that he believes Vince is still capable of contributing creatively, especially when it comes to WWE’s biggest annual show. The conversation centered around the idea that McMahon remains a big-picture thinker who thrives in major-event planning situations.

Ross explained that ongoing rumors about Vince’s involvement aren’t surprising to him, especially given how long McMahon shaped WWE’s direction and how difficult it is to completely remove someone with that level of experience from creative discussions.

“Yeah, absolutely. No doubt about it. I don't even have no question in my mind. It where there's, you know, it's the old cliche. Where there's smoke oftentimes there's fire. And there's been a lot of smoke regarding VKM uh in WWE and and what his future may or may not be and and how he can still contribute Vince can still contribute. He's got he's a big picture guy. And that takes a lot of detail work and and planning. But uh he he can do that. He can he can he can make all that happen. Uh and you know he's he's hungry. You know that he's got uh yeah, if he's if he's making pies, he's so we know he's in the kitchen. So I I just I I don't think there's any doubt in my mind that uh Vince will be instrumental in this year's WrestleMania as far as creative is concerned.”

After that lengthy explanation, Ross was asked directly whether he believed McMahon was involved in shaping WrestleMania plans right now. His response was short but left little doubt about where he stands.

“Oh, yeah. Okay. Yeah.”

Even with Triple H officially overseeing WWE creative in the TKO era, speculation about McMahon’s lingering influence continues to surface. WrestleMania remains the company’s biggest stage, and any suggestion that Vince still has input only adds to the ongoing debate about how much power he retains behind closed doors.

Ross’ comments stand out because of his long history working alongside McMahon and his deep familiarity with how WWE creative has traditionally operated. That history gives added weight to the idea that Vince may still be involved in shaping the direction of major WWE events, even if not publicly acknowledged.

WrestleMania has always been where WWE’s biggest decisions come together, and if Vince McMahon is still helping guide the vision behind the scenes, it could explain why his fingerprints are still believed to be present during the company’s most important moments.

Do you think Jim Ross is right about Vince McMahon still being involved in WrestleMania creative, or do you believe WWE has fully moved into a new era without his influence? Let us know what you think and share your thoughts in the comments.
