WWE runs at Vince McMahon’s direction, but that doesn’t mean he’s at the Gorilla Position where you think he’d be.
Vince McMahon is often thought to be sitting at Gorilla Position barking orders into his headset and commanding WWE from his helm backstage. That isn’t the case in recent memory.
Bodyslam.net reports that Vince McMahon hasn’t been backstage in Gorilla Position in quite some time.
it was reported that both Shane and Vince have been in Gorilla monitoring the show, this also is not accurate as neither of them have been. It was added that “Vince hasn’t been at Gorilla in quite some time.”
This came to light when Bodyslam was digging about claims that Shane McMahon is gaining influence backstage. It was said that he’s in consideration for a head writer position on Raw, but that’s not true. It was also said that he is sitting next to his dad at Gorilla Position, but that’s apparently not true either. In fact, The Chairman isn’t even at Gorilla Position anymore.
