Victoria Crawford isn’t scrambling to find another place to wrestle after her TNA release. In fact, the former Alicia Fox admits she may be done actively chasing another in-ring run altogether.
While speaking with David Otunga, Crawford opened up about what comes next for her in wrestling—and surprisingly, finding another company to wrestle for isn’t something she spends much time thinking about anymore.
There are certainly more options than when Crawford first entered the business. WWE is no longer the only major destination, and wrestlers can now bounce between different promotions and still build a career. Crawford knows that, but she just isn’t sure she wants to.
“Now it’s fun that wrestling, there’s just so many places you can wrestle, right? Whereas remember when WWE was like the only place to go. And, um, you know, I think that had an influence on the way we were bringing this as a job, you know, obviously. But even now going to TNA and then seeing, well, where else do I want to go next? I don’t know why, but, um, I don’t know, I don’t, I don’t, I don’t really ponder that question much anymore.”
That isn’t Crawford announcing her retirement. It’s more that her priorities have changed. She still watches younger women having big matches, but instead of looking at them and wondering how she can get herself back into that position, Crawford feels like she may have reached the other side of her wrestling career.
“Like I don’t—I guess my priorities and my career has changed. Like I’m not—like I just see these younger girls having these, like, awesome matches and stuff and I just feel like I might—I think I might be, you know, on the other side of things. Like I’m not going to—there’s not a new layer I’m trying to unfold right now.”
That’s apparently been a difficult thing for Crawford to admit because she still likes wrestling. She likes knowing she has a booking coming up. She likes getting inside the ring. But she also recognizes that she’s now roughly 20 years older than some of the women she’s wrestling, and she doesn’t want to convince herself that another massive in-ring chapter has to be waiting around the corner.
“I think I just—I don’t know. It’s hard to admit that because, you know, I know the ring and I like being booked and I like wrestling, but I love the business side and I do recognize that I’m 20 years older than my opponents. So, I don’t want at this point to, you know, get my hopes all up and get me out of reality.”
That doesn’t mean Alicia Fox will never wrestle again. Crawford left that door open. She just doesn’t plan on knocking on every promoter’s door looking for the next match.
“You never know. I don’t think I’d be actively trying to wrestle anymore, but in a different role or different capacity? Yeah. I mean, I love the business. I would absolutely be open to that.”
The timing makes those comments especially interesting. TNA released Crawford on July 24, ending a run that began at Unbreakable in April 2025. She worked as Deputy Director of Authority, returned to the ring, challenged for the Knockouts Championship and later aligned with Tessa Blanchard.
Normally, a release immediately starts the guessing game about where someone shows up next. Crawford doesn’t seem particularly interested in playing it. After spending more than two decades around professional wrestling, she isn’t shutting the door on another match. She’s simply reached the point where getting back inside the ring doesn’t have to be the next thing anymore.
