Val Venis has decided to kick Max Caster while he’s down, and apparently he thinks he can do Caster’s own gimmick better than him. Just days after Caster’s controversial TNA run came to an abrupt end, Venis took to social media to trash his rapping skills before dropping some bars of his own.

Taking to Twitter, Venis shared a video of himself rapping with fans following a wrestling show. He didn’t waste any time making the target of the post clear, declaring that Caster “sucks at rapping” before offering himself up as an example of how it’s supposed to be done.

“📢💪 TNAs Max Caster sucks at rapping. Let the Big Valbowski show Max Caster how rapping is done well.”

The video itself featured Venis launching into a wrestling-themed freestyle surrounded by fans. He started by talking about putting on a show and making money from adding another victory to his record.

“Yo, it’s time to put on the show. You wanna fight me? You’re my number one foe. Another win on my record means more dough. I look you in the eyes and tell you, ‘Let’s go.’ Eye to eye, toe to toe — we can stand and fight, or we can fight it to the low.”

Venis kept going from there, mixing wrestling moves and his old Big Valbowski persona into the rap. He eventually worked his Money Shot finisher into things before finishing by making sure everyone remembered his name.

“I can take it to the mat and put on a show. I’m the number one player in history. You wanna mess with me? I’ll tie you up in a pretzel and tap to me. You wanna mess with me? I’ll hit the Money Shot and get the one, two, three. You wanna mess with me? You’ll remember me — the name Valbowski.”

The timing of Venis’ shot comes right after Caster’s brief TNA run fell apart following Bound For Glory. Caster made his debut against Moose but quickly found himself dealing with backlash over a line in his entrance rap referencing Riyadh.

We later reported that TNA President Carlos Silva personally made the decision to cut ties with Caster. He was believed to be working on a per-appearance deal, making it pretty easy for TNA to end things after just one match.

Caster had creative control over his entrance rap, with TNA unaware of what he planned to say before he went through the curtain. The company later removed his content, apologized over the controversial line and ended the relationship.

Caster probably wasn’t expecting to get a rap critique from the Big Valbowski on top of everything else. But Venis clearly saw an opening after the TNA controversy and couldn’t resist showing everyone what he thinks a proper wrestling rap sounds like.
