Val Venis is back talking about Nyla Rose again. The former WWE star has spent years taking shots at the AEW wrestler on social media, and his latest tweet shows he still hasn’t moved on from the topic.

On October 7, Venis took to Twitter with another brief comment aimed at Rose and the online wrestling community, as he claimed that the “Leftist” IWC has given up on Nyla Rose.

“The leftist IWC gave up on Nyla Rose.”

Venis didn’t explain what prompted the post or who he was referring to, but it fits a pattern that’s been going on for years. Back in 2024, he came under heavy criticism after making comments about Rose’s transgender identity.

One of his most controversial posts came after Dustin Rhodes defended Rose from a fan questioning her identity, with Venis claiming Rose was a man pretending to be a woman while discussing gender dysphoria. It was far from the only time he publicly targeted her, either.

Rose has taken a much different approach whenever the subject comes up. Speaking with Denise Salcedo in September, she talked about why she believes so much hostility toward transgender people exists in the first place. Rather than blaming personal experiences, Rose said many people form opinions before they’ve ever actually met a transgender person because their first exposure often comes through misinformation and political rhetoric.

“A thousand%. … A lot of people just don’t have those sort of interactions… right now it is… it’s been weaponized and it’s a lot of propaganda and there’s a lot of conflation.”

She went on to explain that inaccurate portrayals can leave people with a false impression that’s difficult to shake, even when it’s based on something that doesn’t accurately represent transgender people.

“So to hear, you know, oh, there’s a trans woman. And then they’ll show a picture of a drag queen and now this person is like, well, that person has a beard… their perception becomes their reality. It was presented wrong from the jump.”

While Venis continues to go after Rose, Rose herself has generally chosen not to respond directly to his comments. Instead, she’s continued focusing on her wrestling career while speaking more broadly about the challenges transgender people face and the misconceptions that often surround them.
