The Undertaker may be retired from the ring, but he proved he can still make an entrance like nobody else. The WWE Hall of Famer surprised fans Friday night by showing up at a Savannah Bananas game, and he didn’t exactly keep things low-key.
Appearing during the Banana Ball game at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, The Undertaker walked out with all the bells and whistles that made him one of WWE’s most iconic stars. The arena went dark, his signature entrance music hit, druids surrounded him, and the Deadman slowly made his way onto the field just like he had done countless times inside a WWE arena.
The appearance came midway through the ninth inning, with Undertaker stepping onto the field to deliver the ceremonial final Banana Ball to the pitcher’s mound. The moment brought one of wrestling’s most recognizable entrances to a completely different stage, and the crowd was more than ready to play along.
The Savannah Bananas have become famous for turning baseball into entertainment since launching in 2016. Their Banana Ball format mixes baseball with comedy, fan interaction and over-the-top moments, making The Undertaker’s dramatic entrance fit right in with the show’s style.
Undertaker has made plenty of memorable appearances since retiring from in-ring competition, but seeing the Deadman, complete with druids, lighting and his legendary entrance theme, walking onto a baseball field instead of a wrestling ring was definitely one of the more unexpected ones.
