We had reported that the UFC had announced Yoel Romero vs Paulo Costa for UFC 230, as the third fight in the line of Middleweight match ups on the card already.

However ESPN reporter Ariel Helwani confirms that the UFC jumped the gun in making the announcement, and that Yoel Romero’s camp had not accepted the fight yet on account of suffering a broken orbital bone last month in his fight against Robert Whittaker at UFC 225.

He also confirmed that Paulo Costa, while verbally agreeing to the fight, hasn’t signed on the dotted line either.

Helwani took to Twitter to let his thoughts be known about how the UFC seems to have announced the fight as a way to put pressure on the fighters.
