AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door just got a lot bigger after this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, as two more matches were set up for the pay-per-view during a loaded night of action.

The first new match came after Brodido picked up a huge win over The Death Riders. Brody King and Bandido took on Jon Moxley and Daniel Garcia in tag team action, and it was Bandido who scored the pinfall on Garcia to give his team the victory. That win did not just give Brodido momentum. It gave Bandido the opening he needed to take a shot at Moxley.

After the match, the current ROH World Champion challenged Jon Moxley to an AEW Continental Championship match at Forbidden Door. Moxley hesitated for a moment, but he eventually accepted, locking in a title showdown between Bandido and the Death Riders leader. That was not the only match added to the card.

Christian Cage and Adam Copeland also made their presence felt on Dynamite after getting into it with The Dogs, Clark Connors and David Finlay. Following a brief brawl between the two teams, Cage and Copeland issued the challenge for a tag team match at Forbidden Door.

That means fans are now getting Bandido vs. Jon Moxley for the AEW Continental Championship, along with Christian Cage and Adam Copeland taking on The Dogs at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.

AEW used Dynamite to push the Forbidden Door card forward in a big way, and both of these matches now give the pay-per-view even more crossover firepower heading into the show.
