Trish Stratus Admits WWE Had Big Plans For Cancelled Romance Angle With Jeff Hardy

WWE has a lot of plans, and romance angles are always something they can spring on fans. That doesn’t always mean the plan will come to fruition, no matter how interesting of an idea it may be.

A clip resurfaced on social media from a throwback WWE broadcast. In the clip, Trish Stratus and Jeff Hardy were talking in the locker room, and things were getting a bit familiar. Suddenly, Matt Hardy and Lita walked in and asked what they were doing. It seemed that Trish and Jeff were caught red-handed.

One fan replied to this post, where they said, “The start of the first love storyline with Jeff and Trish before it got canned.” One may think this was a joke, but it seems that it was the truth.

Trish Stratus then posted to confirm that these plans were in place to hook up with Jeff Hardy on screen. Sadly, an injury stopped things before they could get going.

"We had big plans! But alas… it was my fault - I broke my ankle."

Trish Stratus also posted a photo of herself alongside Jeff Hardy. They both seemed very comfortable to be in the frame together, leaving fans to wonder what kind of chemistry they may have had on screen.

We will have to see what kind of romance angles WWE may throw our way. That being said, there’s always the possibility that plans could change due to something unexpected.
