The May 15 episode of WWE SmackDown went down at the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, South Carolina. This was a fun episode, and it was also important for the Ring General.
Trick Williams has been in rare form since he beat Sami Zayn for the WWE United States Title at WrestleMania. The South Carolina native was in the house for the blue brand’s show this week, and he received a very warm welcome home.
The show opened up with Trick Williams, and he was joined by Lil Yachty and the Gamecocks’ mascot. Williams told a story about how he ate chicken wings in Columbia, and the sauce ran down his 3 chains, 8 abs, and onto his shoes. That’s how he came up with lemon pepper steppers.
Then Trick Williams brought attention to his family in the front row. As he was basking in his moment, The Miz made his way out with Kit Wilson to interrupt him. The A-Lister dissed the constant appearances of mascots in Williams’ promo time, as he compared Trick Willy’s time on WWE television to Sesame Street. Lil Yachty responded to say he knows why Miz is cursed. Kit Wilson answered by reading some mid slam poetry.
Then Lil Yachty had his own lines, where he capped everything off by reminding fans that The Miz has tiny balls. That resulted in The Miz demanding to get a referee out there, and then Trick fought off Kit Wilson and The Miz before he posed for the fans in Columbia.
