Trick Williams had a pretty solid excuse for missing SmackDown last week— the man was busy getting married.
During the TV tapings for the June 26 edition of WWE SmackDown, recorded on June 23, Trick revealed that he tied the knot with Lash Legend last week in Jamaica. So, his absence from last week’s show suddenly makes a lot more sense.
This also lines up with what Lash Legend previously said on the Nightcap podcast back in April this year, where she confirmed they were planning a destination wedding but kept the date quiet.
“Jamaica, mmhmm, yes. We haven’t released the date to the public, but yes—it is a destination wedding!”
Turns out, they were not just talking about it. They already made it official. Lash and Trick had already become one of WWE’s most talked-about real-life couples after their engagement story made the rounds. Trick popped the question during Thanksgiving, and now the two have taken things all the way to the altar.
The timing is pretty funny too. Fans were wondering why Trick missed SmackDown, and the answer ended up being way better than some backstage excuse. He was in Jamaica marrying Lash Legend. Now the couple returns to WWE TV with a whole new title outside the ring: husband and wife.
