Trey Miguel isn’t just focused on winning championships — he’s thinking about changing history.

With the working relationship between TNA Wrestling and WWE NXT opening new doors, the longtime TNA star floated a crossover idea that could shake up both companies. During a recent interview, Miguel was asked about dream matches and creative goals now that talent is moving between TNA and NXT more freely.

Instead of naming an opponent, he named a match. Miguel made it clear that one concept sits in the back of his mind — and it involves bringing TNA’s most iconic stipulation to WWE.

“You want to know something that’s weird in the back of my mind is I would love for NXT or WWE in any facet to do an Ultimate X match and be a part of the first time that that happens.”

That wasn’t just fantasy booking. Miguel explained that Ultimate X isn’t just another gimmick match — it represents the core of what TNA built its reputation on. He then pointed to what makes the match special in the first place.

“The Ultimate X is something I’ve become very comfortable with doing and the first time I did it, it freaked me out a whole lot, but because of the endless possibilities that this partnership now opens up, WWE has their things that they do and TNA has their things that they do.”

“But I think like if you’re going to pick one thing that’s unique about TNA, what they offer as far as these match stipulations and such, I think we can all agree that the Ultimate X is probably the most standout thing that TNA’s ever done.”

Miguel didn’t stop there. He made it clear that if WWE ever pulls the trigger on the concept, he doesn’t just want to watch — he wants to make history.

“And if we brought that over to WWE, even just one time, I would do anything to be a part of that first time it ever happens.”

Ultimate X has been one of TNA’s signature match types for years, built around high-risk athleticism and X-Division chaos. WWE has never staged one. But with crossover momentum building between TNA and NXT, the idea isn’t as far-fetched as it once seemed. If WWE ever imports the concept, Trey Miguel has already planted his flag.
