Trey Miguel is speaking out after discovering someone is impersonating him and sending disturbing messages to fans—and he wants to put a stop to it immediately.

In an Instagram Story uploaded on February 7, 2026, Miguel revealed that someone has been pretending to be him via text, sending inappropriate and unhinged messages to unsuspecting recipients. The former X-Division Champion made it clear: it’s not him, and he’s had enough.

“So I have evidence that someone is pretending to be me and texting people very unhinged things. I’m not talking to anyone or texting. I’ve talked to two people via text tonight, and that’s Zachary Wentz and another person.”

He stated that any messages claiming to be from him are fake, and urged fans not to engage with impersonators. Miguel closed with a final, firm reminder.

“But if you’re receiving text messages from someone saying it’s me, it’s definitely not me. I’m not sending someone gross DMs or unhinged messages, and I literally don’t understand it. If someone messages you saying they’re me, they’re a liar. If you believe you’re talking to me, you’re not talking to me. I have a Dayton, Ohio number. I’m not gonna put my number out here, but you’re not talking to me.”

The warning comes just days after Miguel’s best friend, AEW’s Zachary Wentz, issued his own public statement on February 4, demanding that fans stop sending unsolicited fan mail to the home he shares with fiancée Priscilla Kelly. Wentz called it “an invasion of privacy, safety, boundaries, and respect,” and reminded fans that any unsanctioned mail would be discarded.

Together, the two messages show a growing frustration among wrestlers over ongoing violations of personal space—online and off.
