Tony Khan isn’t being shy about what he expects from Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay at AEW All In 2026. The AEW President believes their World Championship match at Wembley Stadium will prove his company has the best wrestling on the planet.
During his conversation with Jack Whitehall, Khan explained that the match carries several layers. Omega and Ospreay are friends, but they also share a mentor-student relationship and have already split two major singles matches.
Their first battle took place at Wrestle Kingdom inside the Tokyo Dome, while the rematch went down at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door in Toronto. With one victory apiece, Wembley Stadium will host the rubber match—and this time the AEW World Championship is on the line. Khan laid out the full history behind the showdown and explained why bringing it to AEW’s biggest stage means so much.
“This matchup, as it stands right now, Omega versus Ospreay, represents so many things. It’s a mentor versus a student. It’s a battle of two friends. Also, it’s a rubber match because Kenny and Will have been through multiple great fights together on huge stages. They fought at the Tokyo Dome. They fought in Toronto at Forbidden Door. And now, to go to the biggest night in wrestling, AEW All In London at Wembley Stadium, it represents a lot.”
Khan also pointed to Omega’s role in building AEW. Omega competed in the main event of the company’s first show and has since captured the AEW World, World Tag Team and World Trios Championships.
“It’s huge for Kenny Omega to get back to the top of the mountain of professional wrestling. Kenny is one of the founding fathers of AEW. He’s been there from the main event of the very first AEW show, Double or Nothing. From the first show we ever had, Kenny has been instrumental in the launch of AEW, and now he stands atop the promotion. He is, in many ways, the most accomplished star to be the World Champion. He’s been World Tag Team Champion and World Trios Champion.”
Khan then made his biggest claim. He believes Omega and Ospreay will use their World Championship match to prove that AEW’s in-ring product stands above every other promotion.
“I’m excited because Kenny Omega versus Will Ospreay represents two of the greatest wrestlers in the world, and AEW is where the best wrestle. That matchup specifically, Kenny Omega versus Will Ospreay, I think will showcase why AEW has the very best wrestling in the world.”
Those are massive expectations, even for two wrestlers with Omega and Ospreay’s track records. They have already delivered twice on major stages, but Wembley comes with the AEW World Championship, Ospreay’s home crowd and Khan publicly declaring that the match will prove his company is the best.
