Tommy Dreamer is already back on the wrestling calendar after his TNA exit, and fans won’t have to wait long to see him again.

Rob Feinstein revealed on Facebook that Dreamer will appear at WrestleCon Night One on Friday, July 31, during SummerSlam weekend at the Hilton Minneapolis. That makes it Dreamer’s first announced appearance since leaving TNA.

“Tommy Dreamer will be with us for Night one on Friday July 31st at Wrestlecon!!”

The timing is pretty interesting, because Dreamer just left TNA during a major backstage shakeup. He had been serving as the company’s head of creative and was also involved in talent relations and day-to-day operations, so this was not some small exit.

TNA has already moved fast behind the scenes, with Delirious expected to become the lead creative voice for now. He had been working alongside Dreamer, so TNA appears to be keeping the job in-house instead of bringing in an outside name.

Dreamer’s exit also comes while TNA is dealing with plenty of other movement. Tessa Blanchard recently secured her release, while Steve Maclin and Myla Grace also left the company in recent weeks.

At the end of the day, Dreamer may be done with TNA, but he is clearly not vanishing from wrestling. His WrestleCon appearance during SummerSlam weekend now gives fans their first chance to see him after one of TNA’s biggest behind-the-scenes changes.
